Dr Louie performed a minimally invasive laminectomy and discectomy on me in October. Going into the procedure, I was apprehensive and somewhat reluctant. However, after months of trying more conservative treatments including steroid injections, physical therapy, and acupuncture, it was determined that surgery offered the best hope to relieve my pain. Five weeks later, I have been cleared to resume normal activities and I feel better than I have felt in the last 13 years. The surgery and the recovery went better than I could have ever imagined. Dr Louie is a kind and patient doctor who is always willing to listen to concerns and explain the problem in a way that is easy to understand. More importantly, he is a gifted surgeon who offers solutions that really work. Dr Louie and the entire surgical team at Virginia Mason are a class act and make you feel like you’re the only person that matters on the day of the surgery. I cannot overstate my gratitude to Dr Louie.
