Dr. Peter Laplace, MD

This practice is a throwback to the days when physicians managed the priority of patient care rather than office managers using them as a patient seeing slot machines. Accordingly consultations are not rushed and an attitude of patient care and centeredness permeates the whole consultation. The Dr Laplaces are exceedingly competent and thorough and have the clinical experience not to over-refer. After hours service is superb and all the patient portal messages are usually answered within 6 hours. Unfortunately it is easier to get accepted into Harvard than their practice as their reputations are so stellar and they refuse to have a bigger patient population than they can expertly manage. Keep trying as the rewards of acceptance confer life long benefits

If you are lucky enough to be a patient at this practice, you have hit the jack pot. When you call, a live receptionist will pick up the phone right away! Dr. LaPlace runs generally on time, because he schedules the number of patients that can be reasonably seen in a day. He takes his time and LISTENS! Yes, there still exists a doctor and practice that is responsive, competent, and caring.

I was Dr. LaPlace's patient from 2015-2019, and only left because I moved. Otherwise I'd have been thrilled to keep him as my primary care physician for as long as he'd have me! He's just a fantastic doctor -- smart, personable, asks thoughtful and detailed questions without being intimidating or pushy, competent, cares about your life and not just your symptoms, and the office and medical staff is wonderful (across the board, especially Grace!). Getting appointments is also generally very easy. Just an all around great experience, and if I ever moved back to the area, I'd be back as a patient in a heartbeat.

Dr Laplace is everything I look for in a personal doctor, I have a complex history of congenital medical problems and he always takes the time for a comprehensive approach to treatment.
