Aweful. Totally dismissive. When I asked questions, he actually said 'I am asking the questions here, Not you!' Did nothing but suggest I double the med I had been taking for 15 years, and clearly was not working. Avoid this burnt out Psych Dr. at all costs. He doesnt care.

Unfit to see patients
On paper, this doctor has a lot of experience. My guess is that most of it is in research or teaching. Rude, dismissive and demeaning. While that kind of behavior might be acceptable in a cardiologist or dermatologist, it has no place in mental health care. I was so disturbed by his manner that not only did I not make a followup appointment, I dropped the PCP who had given me the referral. Glad I did. My care has been great in every way since the change.

He's only available for telehealth. My first session went a full hour, and he seemed to understand my situation. Subsequent visits were progressively shorter, however, and he was quite curt and dismissive at times. That being said, I do feel that he nailed my diagnoses. Medication is always a crapshoot.Maybe it's just me, but he told me that he does not do long-term work with patients. After a handful of 'visits' over 6 months or so, he turned my medication management over to my PCP, who once complained to me about having more than 1500 patients. My requests for referrals from him were answered with what feel were unhelpful responses. I can only recommend his services to someone whose choices are minimal.

derailed my care
I had started with my PCP to seek help for my anxiety. While figuring out my care, we decided to bring in a psych consult, as I had never officially been assessed or diagnosed. I got a diagnosis (BP2) and tried to give the benefit of the doubt to both the medication and diagnosis. After several months, and noting that I didn't think the meds were helping, only the environmental stress reduction due to circumstance and my own work with therapy, I just kept being told I didn't understand my condition and needed a higher dose. Didn't feel heard, after visit notes contradicted what I was saying during the visit, and lethargy side effects were dismissed as 'but you were also tired before the meds!'. By the time I left his care, I was having breakdowns, crying, and anxiety attacks prior to having to meet with him- he only contributed to the regression of progress I made to make my life better. Do not let him treat you.

Makes snap decisions with little information, obviously tired and no longer dedicated to valid health care. I absolutely don't recommend.

I was scheduled a consult with this man and in my life have never met a doctor as demeaning and condescending as he is. He didn’t listen to a word I said about previously experienced side effects and instead lectured me on different DSM conditions which he claimed to have invented. He was un professional claiming previous medical providers were negligent and didn’t know what they were doing yet he decided to prescribe two medications, which he would have known if he listened to a single word I said, that cause Tardive dyskinesia and drooling. He interrupted me multiple times and not only likely misdiagnosed simply on the basis that “he knows more” then previous providers but also discontinued the only medication I had been taking which was giving symptom relief. Especially when it comes to mental health there is no place in this field for someone who is so egocentric that they go out of their way to make their patients feel dumb. I advise avoiding this man he gives MDs a bad name.
