I recently had a biopsy performed by Dr. Yonover at the Uropartner's Surgical Center. The staff there are great and prepped me for my procedure. Dr. Yonover came to update me as to how soon we would get started. This is the second time I have had this biopsy done iso I had all my questions and concerns addressed the first time. Dr. Yonover is great at addressing patient concerns. He has a friendly manner, he presents recommendations based on what patient outcome research data supports, and provides patient education materials as needed. I feel very confident putting myself in his care and recommend him to other patients who need a talented and experienced urologist.

I was a patient of his for about a year and 3 months. Clinically, he is okay, but administratively he has challenges that require attention. He sent me to another doctor for consultation without giving him copy of my MRI, this I had an unnecessary CT scan. He also says things, then denies having said them.

Dr. Yonover treated me for a large kidney stone (and pile of smaller stones) that were impacting my ureter and threatening my right kidney. He did so in the height of this pandemic. I could not have asked for a better doctor -- knowledgeable, reassuring, straightforward, dedicated, and very skilled. I have never been to a urologist before and he certainly set a very high bar for other doctors.

Another Urologist treated me, via lithotripsy, on a Friday & by Saturday, I was in extreme pain, vomiting w/ a fever. After the other physician failed to return my calls, I went to Illinois Masonic. The following Monday, Dr. Yonover graciously made room in his extremely busy schedule to see me the same day. He was kind, listenened, reassuring and provided excellent care & compassion. I have already recommended him 3x. The word that best describes him is, “gentleman”. Drs should take note.

I had one of my greatest medical experiences in Dr Yonover's office. I've had a complicated medical history that has created deep anxieties about most any medical procedures. Despite this, Dr. Yonover has a bedside manner that put me completely at ease. He was not only extremely personable, but provided clear and reassuring explanations of the procedure for which I was visiting him. I can't recommend him highly enough.
