First Visit with Dr. Elterman
Self pay, the visit was $290 it is brutally expensive. He could have done the service today but gave me another appointment for January, my next app visit will be $180, and if I require treatment it will be a lot more. Decent doctor but if you dont have insurance you're out of luck. We'll see the second appointment.

Elterman Center staff
Both doctors Elterman and Tarnauskas are great, same goes to nurses and medical staff. Five stars there. I've been a patient since 2006, and was always completely satisfied with the practice. Not so much for office staff, and especially the billing department. Today, I was denied a treatment (scheduled appointment), on a false claim that I still have a balance, not paid by my insurance, and they tried to double charge me. The insurance did pay this amount, and it was cleared by the Elterman's center more than a month ago. They wouldn't ever bother checking it and said it was my problem. Later today, I sent them a proof of payment, and there was no answer to it, not even talking about apology. Really unprofessional and rude. Awful. Will wait a couple of days, and probably should find another provider, despite the doctors and medical staff high qualification and care.

Horrible Clinic, Rude Clinical Staff Dr. Lev Elterman, MD Clinic Located in Skokie IL - Very Rude Staff, Arrogant Staff. My experience at the clinic was bad experience in the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" Very Rude Staff, Horrible Staff at the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" as I went to inquire with the receptionist, and although they had no clients waiting at the receptionist desk, I was made to wait excess of 45 minutes to simply talk with the receptionist. Ella who claimed to be the Manager of the Clinic, was Very Rude and Was Not Professional at At All!!(not sure about the receptionist's name spelling). The Skokie IL Clinic Manager (or so she claimed to be the manager), told me: "There are many Urologists around and go find another Urologist!!!!". This encounter took place at the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL". Apparently, the Staff at the clinic "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" does not really care about their clients as they feel they have enough customer/patient flow to feel they do not need to maintain positive relationship with their customers or patients. I do not recommend the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL". The clinic is clouded with patients at the front. I am not sure this is within the "Health Code" for occupancy limits.

Final Update
FINAL UPDATE: Saddened at least shows a bit of accountability. My full history 1347 pages, summary 97. I found PSAs going back 5 years in 10 mins. Great that you're being thorough not great you were unprepared each time we spoke. You don't need to impress me or anyone, but stop passing the buck as you & your staff have done each time. You're not only held to a higher standard, you have to perform to higher standards. That's the hippocratic oath, not me being unrealistic. It would be best for you to drop this. My next review will be with the BBB. You've escalated this issue each time by a continued lack of accountability. This is ON YOU learn from it and do better!UPDATE: lowered my review to 1 star it would be 0 if possible. Alyssa possibly the office manager, has NO customer service concept. She left a message today to clarify my appointment. Makes sense after the problems on the phone yesterday, I cancelled my appointment & left a 2 star review. Someone else called an hour later,

DON'T GO I fortunately did not actually visit. I was a new patient trying to schedule an appointment. I wanted to find a doctor that could get me in as soon as possible. I received the list of doctors near me from my insurance company, UnitedHealthCare (Core/PPO). HOORAY! I was able to get an appointment within 2 days. Great! I provided my insurance information and I get a call back an hour or so later stating I was going to be forced to prepay the total amount they would bill my insurance rather than just the co-pay. They proceeded to tell me that my insurance would not pay anything as I have not met my deductible. Given this isn't my first time, I know how my insurance works. I also called my insurance to verify. Yep, covered all my responsibility is my copay. I had a referral from my primary all good. I do have to say from the Start the scheduling process was trying, there was a language barrier and they were all very unprofessional. This seems to be a regular issue for this office.

Awful Practice. Stay away from this office. Office staff barely speaks English. Cannot communicate with Insurance. Never responded to emails. Screwed up insurance pre- authorization. After MRI has been done and paid by insurance they continued harassing calls requesting to come to the office to do another procedure. Cannot tell if doctor is great or bad. But he does not work alone, he has a malfunctioning practice and therefore I will never come back to this place.

I feel like Dr Elterman bought his ratings on different websites because I had nowhere near a 5-star experience with him. I had to wait for about 3 hours for my appointment, and that is not an exaggeration. In the middle of the appointment he got a phone call and excused himself, later he came back and acted very aloof, obviously trying to end the appointment quickly. On top of that, he misdiagnosed me and I had to take a strong antibiotic to no avail.
