Absolutely horrible!
I arrived into the room. Dr. Topf entered, but didn't appear to have reviewed my chart at all. My visit was for a previously diagnosed condition. Same symptoms. After briefly numbing my throat, he stated that I had acid reflux due to an inflamed esophagus and proceeded to tell me that he was going to order medicine that was being sent to my pharmacy and a throat exam was to be completed at a 1 month follow-up. This was stated as he was walking completely out of the door. I had to call out to him to return in order for him to return and explain what had just happened. He returned but it was futile. I mentioned that I was already on the same medicine he was prescribing from my previous Dr who had retired. He then repeated himself and left. I am now looking for another practice. I don't care for Dr. Topf as he lacks professionalism and thoughtfulness. It appears as though now that the other Dr had left, Dr. Topf just didn't give a 'hoot!'

Horrible Doctor!
Took no time to go over anything with me including the hearing test. Was Arrogant, condescending and just outright rude. No bedside manner at all. Waited 6 weeks for the Appt. and will never go back as he is unfit to be a doctor!

After waiting 2 weeks he saw me 2 minutes
After waiting two weeks. He saw me all of two minutes -long enough to tell me to take a hearing test. He said he would call me afterward, but he didn’t. he didn’t even listen to what happened or any of my questions I asked if a humidifier might help and he said yes and I asked if I could have fluid behind my ear and he said yes, but he didn’t suggest any treatment that might help. I’m really afraid that because of him, I am losing my hearing. I was horrified he left -still am

Arrogant, no concern for helping or curing
I had a cold and my ear was plugged for 3 weeks. I had hoped after waiting that long that I would be given a solution. Saw Dr Topf for 2 minutes the first day where he checked my ears and said I should be seen by the audiologist the next day. I told him there was nothing wrong with my hearing except my ear was plugged (I knew there was fluid in my ear from the crackling I heard) I started to walk out without making the appt but the staff stopped me. I went thinking if I do this maybe he could help with the ear being plugged. Saw audiologist the next day, did the hearing test and i had no hearing issues. Dr. Topf came in, tried to shake my hand and told me “Congratulations, your hearing is fine” and started to walk No exam, no solution for my plugged ear. I told him my ear is still plugged. He told me to hold my nose and blow air out my ears. I told him I had already tried that and he told me to do it 100 times a day and return in 2 weeks if my ear is still plugged. It’s a racket.

I believe that a compassionate and attentive approach to patient care is crucial, especially in a field as sensitive as audiology. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Topf fell far short of this standard. Furthermore, I expected a more comprehensive approach to my care. Dr. Topf did not offer any alternative solutions or take proactive measures to address my issue.

Blew me off twice after waiting months
I was referred to this office by my primary for ear pain and persistent soar throat. I first saw a woman, had the scope done and was diagnosed with acid reflux. I was prescribed a Ppi but upon taking it had side effects. Also found a lump in my neck so I made a second appointment. First visit with top, he asked if I had a covid test, and rescheduled a month out. Wait a month and provided a negative covid test to the lab. Go into the second visit, after waiting a month, and he states they didn't receive my covid test and to reschedule again. I fought with the nurse a bit and got him to see me, but he blew me off and said I need to see a gastro dr. Total poor excuse for a dr. And a pushy over covid. Your a well paid dr. It's your job to deal with sick ppl, and I wasn't even sick with covid.

Dr. Topf took excellent care of my tonsillitis. He really took the time to work with me as a student and offered calls for care with my repeat tonsillitis over 6 months so I did not miss my classes to come to the office. Did a wonderful job on my tonsillectomy, told me what to expect, and I had no complications from the procedure. I would recommend coming with a list of questions to your appointment because Dr. Topf works very quickly and I found myself easily forgetting questions I had. But if you forget, the office staff is incredible and will answer all of your questions and I never had an issue getting an appointment in person or telehealth. Also I went to several of his in person locations and I never had to wait for appointments, I was always seen immediately after check in. Overall would recommend!

Horrific Ear Cleaning
I came for an ear cleaning. He told me my ears were clean enough. Instead, he had someone test my hearing. I scored perfectly on the hearing test. He said the appointment was over. I asked again if he would clean my ears. He cleaned one ear and it was very painful. When I left the office, I found that my ear was gushing blood. I would never go back.

Look elsewhere...
I went to see Dr. Topf and he spent less than 6 minutes with me. He never sat down to listen to my concerns & when I was talking I was interrupted. He did a nose scope, said he saw something and that I needed to see a Gastro dr and then walked out of the room, never to return. I was left with no information... NOTHING! I was like..."so what did he see????" He called in 2 prescriptions, one of which could cause severe kidney damage and I only have ONE KIDNEY left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank God I only took 4 doses of this medication and then decided to research it online. MY GOD... we have to be our own advocate with our health care because these doctors are NOT looking out for our well-being! I am beyond angry at this point and still have major health issues with no help from Dr. Topf. Off to the next doctor..... Wish me luck! Please do your homework when it comes to your health, your medication, your doctors, etc!

Why is this man on staff?
Visit was mercifully brief. Performed a cursory exam and refused to proceed further when I was unable to provide proof of Covid vaccination. I had not been asked for this prior to the office visit and so was unprepared. Instructed me to call him if I had further bleeding. Why is this man on staff?

He is so good at what he does. I love how straight to the point and simple he makes everything. He got me in and out of surgery for a tonsillectomy in about 30 minutes. The nurses and everyone who works with him are angels too. I am so grateful I chose him to perform on me.

This guy Topf was THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. He came in with an attitude, barely let me finish a sentence with what the symptoms were, and then acted like he had all the medical training in the world yet had "NO CLUE" about anything that my general practice doc picked up on. He said "Nope, never heard of it, your the first, nope never seen anything like it, your fine bye" and then he walked out. My throat has been swollen for two weeks, it is not covid related and yet this guy wasted my entire day. His nurse was made some racist comment to me about being white, which was also completely unprofessional. I don't care what color or religion you are, JUST....DO...YOUR...JOB. This place, obviously can't. Never in my life have I seen such a pathetic excuse for a doctor as this. Unacceptable, now I have to schedule an apt somewhere else because this guy has an ego complex with himself.

My appointment with Dr Topf was horrible to say the least. He was rude and did not address any of my questions regarding salvatory stones. He saw me for 2 minutes and said I cannot help you and left the room. I was in tears as this is a condition I have been dealing with for several years. The worst Dr I have ever had.

I JUST left his office in tears. I’ve never met a ruder Dr. I started to tell him what was wrong-he wouldn’t even let me get 2 words out & said I can’t help you & told me nothing is wrong with my ears, which have been plugged since January. I’ve been on a 10 month crazy medical journey-sent here for answers. Clearly in this business for money and not to help people. Spent approximately 3 minutes with me. Worst Dr. interaction ever-wish I had read all of these negative reviews first!

He came in the room, barely addresses my issues and had the audiologist address my hearing. The audiologist found a hearing loss in my right ear. He saw me again and told me that I had a loss and needed an MRI. He never explained why. I had to ask him to come back and explain this to me. He also forgot to help me with what I went there for., my itchy right ear. He prescribed some drops that made it itch more. I would not recommend him. Very abrupt!
