Doesn't listen, doesn't care.
Dr. Salamone was extremely dismissive. He made up his mind about the cause of my concern within about 5 seconds, and was not interested in hearing about my history or the fact that I had already explored that possibility with other doctors. He just wanted to prescribe medications and get me out of his office as soon as possible. I mentioned that one of the medications he was prescribing was likely not going to be a good fit due to the fact that it would exacerbate another health issue, but he couldn't have cared less. This doctor totally wasted my time and money, and I cannot in good conscience recommend him to anyone.

Our family members have seen Dr. Salamone for conditions including tinnitus, throat pain, removal of nasal polyps, and frenulectomy. We have had excellent care. He is the only specialist I've had who has taken the time at an office visit to look at an MRI report that another doctor had ordered for me for a separate condition. He recommended that I be screened for cancer due to a finding on that MRI, and I appreciated his expertise and follow-up from his office.

Rave Review
My husband went to see Dr Salamone after spitting up a tiny amount of blood but other than that felt fine. Dr. made an appt for him to have a cat scan which led to a biopsy of his lung. He had lung cancer which, after having a PET scan and biopsy of his liver, showed it had spread. I really believe Dr Salamone saved his life.

NOT trustworthy!!!
I am senior citizen with heart condition. Most important thing is I need medicine to protect my heart w/ ANY surgery. I needed minor throat surgery (my usual ENT doc retired -this doctor was new to me). At first office visit this doctor brought up my need for extra heart medicine during surgery based on my heart history = good sign. It went downhill from there. In the preop room at RGH I asked when I would be getting my extra heart medicine & this doc had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN :(. He thanked me for reminding him- so my spouse & I thought it was taken care of. BIG MISTAKE . When I got to operating room I reminded the anesthesia doc and the nurse that i still needed the extra med for my heart but they knocked me out so I never saw it given. I FOUND OUT I NEVER GOT THE EXTRA MEDICINE FOR MY HEART:(. NO ONE at RGH LISTENED or CARED! I now have to have extra heart testing :(. But my life is mostly over- I have no idea why anyone would trust THIS doc with a CHILD! Or ANY loved one!!!

Showed no empathy, no effort to help
My teenager has tinnitus. Dr. Salamone's manner was abrupt during our second visit and he appeared to really want to wrap up the appointment as fast as possible. My child shared the significant anxiety that she is experiencing from this constant issue, and Dr. Salamone did not offer any suggestions or help. Dr. Salamone answered my child's questions curtly and deflected her suggestions and requests. I laughed out loud at the end of the visit at Dr. Salamone's obvious desire for the appointment to be done. Even if they feel like nothing can be done, I do expect doctors to show empathy and effort to their patients. His receptionists and staff were great.

I was referred for a hearing test. When there, I saw two people, one did a 10 minute hearing test then saw Dr Salamone who answered questions. The visit was fine. My issue is that I was charged TWO separate co-pays of $50 each! Same office, same visit. I was taken back by the two co-pays, seems excessive.

Went to the doctor for acute tinnitus. At first I was positive about the visit. A hearing test was performed, but no meaningful discussion about the reason I went in the first place - tinnitus. Follow up visit lasted several minutes and was to set up for an MRI which was alluded to in the first visit. Third visit was for an MRI which was negative, but my tinnitus is worse after the MRI test. I know find that an MRI can cause shifts to hearing and negatively influence hearing. So the MRI test as recommended by the doctor appears has actually made my condition worse.

Well , don't really know how to put this, I was not happy with his office and his PA. To me all they wanted to do is a hearing test, cost more to the Ins. co. Make more money for them. I went there because i had a very bad Sinus infection could Not hear at all with out some getting in my face to yelling at me. My point is they knew I had a infection, so why did they do an expensive hearing test that was not necessary at this time? The PA also gave me the wrong type of nose spray.

Dr. Salamone took excellent care of our 2 year old daughter when we were told she would need ear tubes after chronic ear infections. He explained the procedure to us and was so comforting as this was our first experience with a child going into surgery. It was a quick procedure and our daughter has had no reoccurring ear infections. We are so grateful that he could help our little girl. I would highly recommend him!

I came to see Dr Salamone with my 14 year old who had huge tonsils. For years we had been told they would shrink but they hadn't. Dr Salamone was decisive in recommending removal. It was quick, with no side effects and a short recovery period. We had been warned that this would be difficult in an older child, but it all went very smoothly.

Dr. Salamone and his staff listened to our concerns and treated us with the utmost respect. Our daughters both had different issues. One needed tubes, not because of ear infections but because of a negative pressure in her ear. The other daughter's ears produce excessive wax. Both are singers and were having difficulty hearing themselves sing. They are both doing great!
