This doctor thinks that you can only have gastroparesis if you have type 1 diabetes. He’s wrong but too stubborn to research. He treated me horrible, threw my chart across the room. He’s a horrid individual and literally the worst, ill informed, rude doctor I’ve ever had the misfortune to meet. Avoid at all costs. I went to the hospital when I left my appt with him and was diagnosed with gastroparesis at the hospital the next day. Disgusting individual who talks to women like they are idiots. Heaven forbid you’re educated!

Dr. Great - Staff Not!
I agree with the person who liked Dr. Haikal but NOT his staff. They need better office management and technology.

Long time patient.
My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Haikal for over 20 years. The problem is not with the doctor. His office staff, or at least some of the staff, hate their jobs, and it is apparent. After several calls to confirm they received my referral, they admitted that they could not access the portal to check. A disgruntled employee deleted their credentials to check the portal. I had to go to the office in person and hand-carry the referral. I was then able to make an appointment. I arrived for my office visit early to check in, only to be told my visit had been canceled. They said they called and left a message. They called on a land line we don't use after I was clear when I made the appointment to use my cell number. The voice mail says to please call our cell phones. The staff member lied to me as she turned and walked away. I wish Dr. Haikal a good retirement. I believe he is a fine doctor.

One of the best!
Dr Haikal performed my colonoscopy today and he was absolutely wonderful! Very comforting, friendly, informative, and took very good care of me, as did his anesthesiologist. He has great staff! Friendly, kind, caring and took great care of me as well. I highly recommend Dr Haikal, and all of his staff and would definitely go to him should a problem arise. Sincerely, Paula Chavez Forrest

i went in i have had serious issues with intense painful continuous burping, i cant eat my stomach hurts, i even had a spinal fluid leak a few months ago, I HAD IT REPAIRED. felt a ton better for about a month and a half. had my energy and normal life back. but i think the leak is back or something may be wrong. i have these painful symptoms again for months on end. i can barely get out of bed. THIS DOCTOR SAID ALL MY SYMPTOMS ARE PSYCHOLOGICAL. didnt listen at all. HE SAID ALL MY PAIN IS SELF INDUCED. if you dont know the answer, you can just say “i dont know whats wrong with you. i never heard of this.” you dont blame the patient who has been sick and looking for help. but doctors these days dont want to help, and they dont admit they dont know.i would never recommend to come here. glad you get paid to tell woman they are crazy. ... self induced? i just want to get better. thanks for nothing. (i wrote this for my family member in first person, as she is too sick to write this.)

I had a great experience with Dr. Haikal. He thoroughly explained everything to me and made me feel more at ease prior to my colonoscopy. He took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Right after the procedure he went over my results and also scheduled a follow up. I visited all of the locations at least once and did not have any issues at any of them.

After a year of treatment for my severe case of IBS-C that caused me to leave my job, it comes to find out I was misdiagnosed. I had a giant kidney stone developing in my right kidney and it took a full year for Dr. Haikal to order me a CT scan. A YEAR! Well, the CT scan came back with a 2.3 cm kidney stone and after TWO surgeries to remove the stone, 5 nights in the hospital & 6 total weeks of recovery, my IBS symptoms have vanished. Not only did I have this LARGE stone, I also developed a severe kidney infection & went into sepsis on the day I was first admitted to the hospital. I cannot recommend this physician for their lack of urgency to eliminate what the problem could be or was. How do you see a patient for a year who is complaining of severe abdominal pain and NOT order a CT scan to eliminate other possibilities? Negligence & incompetence is how.

I had heard the horror stories of having a colonoscopy, Dr Haikal understood my fear, and made the procedure as un-traumatic as possible. I suggest putting the powder into apple juice, shake it, let it chill for a while. No bad taste, Not thick. Easy to swallow. No gagging. Still has desired "cleaning" effect.

Really like Dr Haikal, however, the level of service the Windmill Lane office staff provides is the worst I have ever received. In July, I waited an hour to see the doctor, then they wanted me to wait again just to get the prep instructions for my colonoscopy scheduled for August 18. I asked if I could. call for the instructions, they said sure. I made 4 (four) calls and never received a call back. Went to get insts today and they couldn't find them. I have cancelled my apt. Will find a new Dr!

I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. If you want to know what's wrong with you and receive great customer service this is not the place. I started going to this doctor on my birthday in April of 2016. I had 3 test done which were an endoscopy, ultra sound of my gallbladder, and a h-pylori test done. Each time I went to my doctor with the results. They could not give me a diagnosis but each time I was given a different prescription or sample of medicine to try for the symptoms I had
