Wow! What an amazing practice. I am so pleased that my primary care provider recommended Dr. Schipper and I feel so fortunate to be under his care. The staff is very professional and kind. Highly recommend!! Thank goodness for these professionals.

Schipper replaced my ankle nearly 2 years ago. I consider the surgery very successful. I now walk up to 2 miles per day and golf several times a week - PAIN FREE. I traveled from Florida to Virginia to have the surgery. It was a wise decision. The people at Mt. Vernon hospital were the best. I recommend Schipper without reservation.

I’ve seen Dr. Schipper for almost 3 years for various foot/ankle conditions. He is compassionate, kind, thorough, and enables patients to participate in their own plan of care. He is a conservative surgeon; though exceptionally skilled at ankle repairs, he recommends the least invasive treatments first - he doesn’t immediately decide you need to be cut open just because he can. I’ve referred two friends to Dr. Schipper and they’re equally impressed. His PA Martelle is likewise very skilled. I am fortunate to have found The Anderson Orthopedic Clinic after a botched surgery at another practice and I encourage everyone I care about who has ankle issues to see him. Top notch doc!

My husband had a visit to go over his up coming surgery. I was asked to sit in. We went to the visit and were treated very well. From the time we walked in the door to the time we left the staff made sure we understood everything and asked if we had any questions. They did not try to rush us thru. Dr Shipper came in and introduced himself to me. He explained everything he was going to do. He went over Michaels medications. The ones he will and will not be taking. He was excited to be helping my husband. That took away a lot of stress off me. Dr Shipper and his staff go above and beyond to help his patients. Dr Shippers staff has so much respect for him. I would recommend this office and staff to anyone. Well worth the trip from Inwood WV.

Liked him immediately after I met him. He gave me options on whether to have surgery or not. He answered all my questions and explained clearly and respectfully what he would do with the non-invasive bunion surgery. On the day of surgery, met with me, reviewed what he was going to do. Staff was also very respectful and caring -- and followed up the day after to see how I was doing. Easy to make appointments. I already have referred a few other people to him.

I visited Dr. Schipper today for a possible broken foot. He was professional, thorough, explained everything well, and was personable. I was grateful to get this "emergency" appointment with him. The covid-protocols were all followed, and I am pleased that I am on my way to a full recovery hopefully sooner than later. I definitely recommend Dr. Schipper to family & friends.

I was referred to Dr. Schipper from my surgeon at Walter Reed for a total ankle replacement. The appointment process was simple, surgery scheduling was a breeze and the procedure, well, so far, so good. I saw Dr. Schipper and Martelle yesterday and I am weight bearing (as tolerated) at two weeks post-op. A big thank you to Dr. Schipper, Martelle and Tanya. Without any reservation, I would recommend Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic and Dr. Schipper!!

Excellent experience. Had had a foot/ankle issue that had perplexed other physicians for over a year. It was wonderful to finally see one who was able to accurately diagnose the problem and give treatment options to help. Highly recommend Dr. Schipper.

I suffered with intense bunion pain for decades (terrible pain that often woke me from sound sleep) but was afraid to seek surgical correction because of experiences of friends who had had surgery. My husband sent me a link to Dr. Schipper's description of the Akin Chevron minimally invasive procedure. I did research online - even viewing YouTube videos of the surgery - and finally made an appointment to talk with Dr. Schipper. He answered all of my questions, addressed my fears and pressured me not in the least. I had my right foot done in July and my left done in August. I did not even need the prescribed pain medication and a little more than a month after the second surgery, I am fully ambulatory, doing physical therapy and back in normal shoes. I am - in a word - thrilled! The office staff is courteous, efficient and responsive, the office is easy to find, has plenty of parking and is on several bus routes. Highest recommendation!

Dr Shipper was professional, personable and very thorough in his care. Explained diagnosis, prognosis & treatment. I felt that I chose the right doctor & would recommend. Office staff excellent also.

I initially found Dr. Schipper through various online review sites and was somewhat familiar (by name only) with Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic. From my initial visit in the Lorton office to discuss options for my foot/toe surgery, to scheduling the procedure, to my post op follow up today, I was very impressed with Dr. Schipper and his staff. Tanya and Martelle are great along with the other team members I came into contact with. Likewise, Harbor Heights Surgical Center Staff were excellent where my procedure was performed. I have already recommended another family member to Dr. Schipper and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

We have trusted Dr. Schipper with two of our kids and their ankle and foot issues. We have seen him for an osteoid osteoma as well as stress fractures and he always makes plenty of time for us, answers our questions and makes our kids feel informed on their treatment. We love all the staff working with him as well!

Dr Schipper and staff Brad and Brittney are wonderful. Very pleasant and personable visit. Made to feel comfortable, and Dr Schipper answered all my questions I could think to ask and never left the room until he asked again. That was important to me. To be taken seriously and respected. 5 stars for all of this! On to my options!

I had minimally invasive bunion surgery on 16 July with Dr. Schipper - I am 2 weeks out and the recovery has been much easier than I expected - minimal pain and swelling. I had struggled with bunions and pain for many years but when I met Dr. Schipper I knew he was the best doctor to perform the surgery. He is very knowledgeable, focused and concerned about his patients. I had a lot of pre surgery questions and he patiently and thoroughly answered all of them - he is nothing short of amazing. I am ready to schedule surgery for the other foot - this doctor is awesome.

Totally impressed with Dr Schipper’s intelligence, knowledge of bones and surgery simply said. Moreover Dr Schipper’s patient relationship is respectful and welcoming. My surgery was a redo of another doctor outside of this practice. Dr Schipper performed a longer surgery yet recovery is perfect. The doctor takes recovery seriously. He also is encouraging of each step of surgery and post surgery. I am a fan of the doctors who study at Georgetown which is where Dr Schipper went. Go Hoyas!

Dr. Schipper is amazing! From the first time we met, he's always been completely up front and honest with me. He evaluated and reconstructed my ankle and is very kindly guiding me through the recovery process. Brittany and Tanya are also fabulous. I am very pleased with my all around treatment and care, and would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Schipper and Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic.
