Not only is it very likely that I would recommend Dr. Alvi to family and friends, but I already have done so with my own child. Like me, he was completely satisfied and will return for her services if required in the future. I find that I never have to wait longer than five minutes to see Dr. Alvi when I make a reservation. We live in busy times and I appreciate not wasting time needlessly. Dr. Alvi is very thorough and makes sure that all of my questions have been answered before I leave.

I started seeing Dr. Alvi for a fairly unique and until then previously undiagnosed condition, which Dr. Alvi was able to recognize and begin to address almost immediately. I have been thoroughly impressed with her professionalism, courtesy, attention to detail and timeliness. She is a highly specialized and skilled practitioner, with an excellent ability to communicate with her patients. Her staff is equally professional and courteous. I cannot recommend Dr. Alvi and her team highly enough.

I have been going to Dr. Alvi for several years now. I am a type 2 diabetic and Dr. Alvi has coordinated treatments for cataracts and retinitis's with other specialists which I credit for saving my eye sight. She is an exceptional doctor who listens to and does her best to address patient concerns. How do you thank someone for keeping you from going blind. She and her staff are caring highly trained professionals and I would recommend her in the highest terms to anyone.

I was very anxious about being seen for my glaucoma by a new doctor. My first visit with Dr. Alvi allayed my anxiety. She took time to listen to my concerns and fears about my eye condition and assured me that I will continue to get the best care possible. I know now that I have entrusted my eye care to a highly trained and very capable doctor who also interacts well with her patients. That means a whole lot to me!

Dr. Alvi was recommended to me by a few of my other doctors. Her office was not close to my home, but I decided to see her. I'm glad I did. She is very genuine and personable. She listens and is detailed with my care plan. I don't feel rushed and all my concerns are always addressed. When Dr. Alvi moved to a new office (quite a while ago) I followed her because the care her office provides. I highly recommend Dr. Alvi!

I am so thankful to Dr. Alvi for literally saving my vision and probably my life. After experiencing double vision, redness and bruits in both eyes and seeing four different physicians with no success, I was referred to Dr. Alvi. She immediately ordered an MRI which confirmed her diagnosis. She then referred me to a top Neuro Surgeon in Chicago. He scheduled me for surgery two days later. Thanks to her expertise and expedience in diagnosing my condition, my vision was restored to normal.

Several years ago I had eye surgery to repair a macular hole. I then needed to find an ophthalmologist for regular follow up and continuing eye care. Fortunately, I found my way to Dr. Nishat Alvi. Not only has she and her staff monitored the status of the surgical repair but has addressed my “normal” vision issues. Her staff and state-of-the-art equipment in both the Elgin and Barrington offices have handled any and all issue that have come up. I am so thankful for finding Dr. Alvi.

Twelve years ago my husband and I moved to Algonquin. One of our first tasks was to find a new ophthalmologist. Every doctor and neighbor we asked recommended Dr. Nishat Alvi so we each made an initial appointment with her and we’ve never looked back. What's so good about this practice? They are thorough, patient, talented, experienced and professional.
