Dr. Nigel Azer, MD

Dr. Azer was recommended to me by a friend who had knee replacement surgery. Upon meeting with him and discussing my situation there was no doubt that I wanted him to perform my surgery. I had one knee replacement about a year and a half ago and the other done last year. Both surgeries were a success with a great recovery! I can now move about without having to deal with pain in my knees.

Dr. Azer and all of the staff at INOVA Alexandria hospital were terrific. The operation was was smooth, professional and could not have turned out better. The recovery period was quick, and the PT was excellent as well.

DR. Azer's Staff was Great. The Hospital Staff was Great. Dr. Azer is Great. Knee Replacement was successful. They give you loads of Information to succeed. Anderson Orthopedics is Great. The Office is Clean and the people are kind and helpful. Plenty of room in Exam rooms. Dr. Azer also does not try to run you out of the Exam room, him and his staff take the time to answer any questions.

My first left knee replacement in 2004 was a nightmare I didn't want to repeat. I put off the second left knee replacement an extra 10 years with pain and swelling unimaginable. My family physician recommended I see Dr. Azer at Anderson Clinic in Arlington. He was very kind and patient. Took X-Ray and said there's not much left. We have to do it! I have had plenty of surgeries including 3 knee before the first replacement and this was the best! Minimal pain, incision healed perfectly and physical therapy is going very well! I couldn't be any happier with Dr. Azer and his staff! I just wish I would have done it sooner! Thank you All !!!

I selected Dr Azer after an extensive search in the Washington DC and surrounding areas. Initially for a right knee replacement in 2018 which went very well. When my left knee needed replacement in 2024 I visited his new office in Arlington and began the process. Again every thing went well and the new facility provided a better work flow and attention to the patient. I would recommend Dr Azer and team to anyone requiring new or revision knee and hip surgery.

Dr. Azer and his staff is great. I had both hips done by Dr. Azer and everything went great. Dr. Azer listen, ask questions and explained everything before and after surgery. I just love Dr. Azer and his whole staff

Dr. Azer has performed a knee replacement and hip replacement. He is knowledgeable and attentive to his patience needs. He is also very compassionate.

Dr. Azar is an excellent physician, today I had the please seeing Casey his PA. She is the best , knowledgeable, caring, thorough and has the best bed side manners U could ask for .

Dr. Azer and his Physician's assistant were attentive to my questions, explained clearly everything that the procedure would entail and left me feeling confident about the surgical decision. After the surgery, he was very quick to respond to all of my email queries (even over the weekend). I will (and have) recommend Dr. Azer for knee replacement surgery.

The visits with Dr Azer were professional and to the point. He gave input and information to help me with decisions to best help me with my knee surgeries.

My hip replacement surgery was very successful. Dr. Azer is an excellent surgeon. He explained the procedure and also sent reading materials and emails with further explanations and instructions. I feel much better after the surgery; the pain I had before the surgery is completely gone.

Dr Azur did a hip replacement on my husband and six weeks on, my husband is nearly 100%. Kind, professional and caring. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their Doctor!.

Dr Azer of The Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic did a hip replacement on me years ago that went well. Last year I thought my wife might benefit seeing Dr Azer for a another reason. Her bill for Dr Azer's visit was mailed after being routed through insurance; co-payment was made. However the bill mysteriously included an $80 bill for durable medical equipment (e.g.braces) never routed through insurance, equipment that she never received! Billing said it had to be paid in cash! The billing department did not care because my wife supposedly initialed receipt for the equipment, which she had not. Now the billing department is threatening collections if the $80 is not paid even though my wife and I made it clear she never received such equipment (I was with her during the appointment). The billing staff and provider of the equipment can only be described as racketeers. It's too bad this otherwise good doctor has an admin staff that shamelessly lacks integrity!

Dr. Azer and his staff were amazing. They made my surgery and recovery a pleasant experience. Dr. Azer is very knowledgeable and on the day of my surgery came to my bedside and prayed with me before my procedure. I was able to ask questions and reach my care team daily throughout my recovery.

Dr Azer and his team were there for me from the first referral meeting all the way through subsequent follow up appointments after surgery. No question was too big nor too small. Emails were promptly responded to by both Dr. Azer and his team. I have already recommended Dr. Azer and Anderson Clinic to several people.

Dr. Azer recommended after examination to my surprise that I needed two knee replacements and two hip replacements. One knee thereafter was replaced by Dr. Azer. The new knee was found to be painfully much much worse after surgery. Much physical therapy was prescribed and was not helpful. Dr. Azer once stated that he would make "an adjustment" when the other knee were replaced which I respectfully declined. When I asked to find a remedy for the first surgery, Dr. Azer said "I'm done", he sent me away, and he offered no real help to address my daily disappointment and discomfort.

Dr. Azer and the entire staff were Awesome! I had a right total knee replacement in August 2022, I’m very happy that my primary care doctor recommended him! Thank you everyone, God Bless!!!

Dr. Azer did a total knee replacement revision on my right knee. I had the same knee done 2 yeas ago, it became infected. The knee was removed and replaced with antibiotic spacers by my former orthopedic surgeon. I was then on IV antibiotics for 6 weeks.I was in a wheelchair for several months as I had no knee and couldn't walk. My orthopedic surgeon referred me to Dr. Azer as he was experienced with knee revisions. It was the best decision I ever made! Dr Azer did my new relacement and I was immediately relieved of pain and discomfort, was on a walker right away, and today, at 2 months out I am using a cane. There isn't enough room here to praise this surgeon for giving me my life back. Dr. Azer is a keeper! Thank you Dr. Azer!!
