Very caring doctor!
My husband and I had to look for a new primary care provider and we chose Dr. Merritt. What stood out to me: She told my husband at his first visit that she does not want him to become one of her 'besties' (i. e. most often seen patients) but the opposite: That she wants to find ways to get him off his medications. This is what I have been looking for in a doctor! She is very nice and approachable but also straight up with her patients, which I like very much!

Excellent Care!
I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. I highly recommend Dr. Merritt to anyone searching for a new PCP. She's a fantastic doctor with a genuine interest in her patients' well-being. Finding a doctor who listens and takes the time to explain things is a rare gem, and I'm so grateful to have found Dr. Merritt! The staff at her office is just as fantastic! They are friendly, efficient, and make the entire experience smooth and welcoming.

FIRST, my regular doctor moved out of state so I Was trying to schedule an appt for a physical with this dr merritt ; but was told the dr had to see me first as a 'wellness' patient, paid $20, then she would decide if I would be taken as a patient? never heard of that ..... but the visit itself was terrible. Never have I ever had a doctor visit like this. She made me feel very uncomfortable from the moment she walked in , looking at me as if I did something wrong and the manner of speaking to me was pretty weird. Definitely need to look for a better dr who will make me feel respected and at ease....

if i could do negative i would
Absolutely the worst experience of my life especially as my first time not being at a pediatrics makes it even worse. I came in for a check up but for something else also bothering me she didn’t even address it , touched my face then said one moment then the tech said to go to the front desk. I came in for something completely opposite of what she referred me for. I came in for chest pain and she referred me to get an STD test…. never coming back again…

She's a nice Dr. Gets too personal
They asked about my mental health not a physical and asking about me getting a blood test for HIV and hep c! Got a little offended about it and when I asked her got to rule out hep c! I felt odd!

This doctor, from the first appointment to second/last appointment, gave me nothing but terrible service. The first appointment, she had to convince me to have a pap smear done when I didn’t even feel comfortable and had the nurse stay in the room to ensure “she does her job” which was a BIG red flag. Next, I told her that I needed an allergy test to be done, and she sent the request to a third party company. So I tried calling the doctors office multiple times over the course of a week to make sure what I needed was what is going to be fulfilled when I go to my allergy test appointment, no answer and no call back. I had a very specific reason to get the allergy test and the one allergen I needed tested was nowhere to be found on the results list. The last appointment, it was at 5pm on a work day in which I was in the office 10 minutes before my appointment and didn’t get seen by her until an hour and 10 minutes (6:10pm) after my original appt and the appt lasted less than 10 mins
