time I’ll never get back
Dr Cayne was arrogant. Hard to access his knowledge or expertise because his uncaring attitude. He couldn’t be bothered with hearing any explanation of my issues and corrected ( what turned out to be the correct Latin pronunciation of my procedure) instead of listening. I think if I were a man I would have been treated differently. His nurses and tech assistants were kind and thorough.

August 8, 2021 was the worst day of my life. I suffered an attack from a symptomatic carotid artery stenosis that, unbeknownst to me, was 99% occluded. Dr. Neal Cayne performed a TCar surgery on my left carotid artery on August 20, 2021. My understanding is that this is a state of the art procedure performed at only a select few centers of excellence. The surgery was a huge success and went as planned. I had a full recovery and went home 2 days later. Dr. Cayne is a skilled and talented surgeon. His passion and dedication for his specialty is overwhelming. He was remarkable and had an excellent bedside manner. Dr. Cayne’s advice and explanation of the procedure was outstanding. His experience and knowledge of this situation was exceptional. I have and will continue to highly recommend Dr. Cayne to family and friends.

Dr Cayne and his team are just some of the best I’ve had the good fortune to encounter. I had a severe blockage and he went into my left groin area across to my belly button and down my right leg and was able to get through the blockage that ran from my stomach and down to my toes on my right leg. It had been 4 months since the surgery and I able to walk 10-12 blocks with no pain. He gave me a miracle that I was sure would never happen. No words to say Thank You!!! If you ever need a vascular surgeon, he’s the one to call... THE BEST and then there are all the rest!!!

Dr. Cayne saved my mom's life. He performed a leg bypass that doctors on Staten island never caught and just thought her foot was fractured. He is a great surgeon with wonderful bedside manner and treated her and our family with such kindness during a very rough time. You rock Dr. Cayne!

I found him condescending and disbelieving of my pain. He performed a surgery that did not solve my pain and was dismissive of my concerns.

Cordial but not very informative. Although the office process was smooth the one to one interaction with the Dr was a bit uncomfortable as I felt he was on this all knowing high platform and I was just a less educated un informed patient. I left the office feeling hopeless as he was not very assuring. In fact he seemed quite pessimistic almost brushing off the concern I had and how much my situation bothered me. I felt such a disconnect like I was 1 in 1 million.. not sure I'll return.

He was thorough, patient, extremely skilled and had a wonderful bedside manner. My mother had abdominal aortic aneurysm and her case posed several challenges due to her anatomy and other medical conditions. He made adjustments to the procedure, consulted extensively with family and the anesthesiologist and got her through the procedure successfully. We could not recommend him more strongly. To top it off, he had a friendly and delightful personality.
