Patient since 2017
I moved from the bay area in 2017. I'd already been diagnosed with Leukemia, Bladder cancer & melanoma. My first appt. with Dr. Ruben I immediately noticed she was more interested in my past and what past physicians had or hadn't done. Due to the melanoma, she asked about my past PET scans, which no doctor in the past had ordered. My first PET scan found a cancerous tumor in my lung. Upon my wondering how this could be, I searched through my past records with bay area doctors and found a tumor was noted on a CT-Scan yet the bay area doctor(s) never went further to see what it was. Had I not moved to Monterey and found Dr. Ruben I would not be alive to write this review today.

I refuse chemotherapy and I didn’t do anything with her and she is not my doctor; but she is not ashamed to not say the truth and tell Foundation one that I went to her in December 2020 in order to do a DNA test which is a lie, because last time I went there was at the beginning of October and I stopped everything when I knew what kind of medicine they are going to put in my body .Foundation one sends the claim to my insurance not just that they told me it is my responsibility if the insurance pay or not. I do not have the result of this test, I didn’t ask for it , last time she took blood from me was at the beginning of October 2020. How she order this test while she has no blood from me. she had no right to do so and the big lie was that I went to her on December 8, 2020. Doctor these days doesn’t care to cure you they care to get you hooked in order to suck money from you and your insurance. Doctor Rubin is a very bad doctor and her chemo is a big fat lie because it kills not cure

When my daughter was diagnosed my first thought was that I wanted our experience and her treatment to be calm, serene and as caring as possible. I wanted her to have top notch care and still have as little trauma as possible. We immediatly knew we found the right place the first day we stepped into the office. The staff and Doctor were calm and caring. The family was welcomed during treatment and at all visits. I cannot recommend them enough to any young person going through this.
