One of my favorite doctors in my 68 years of age! Here are some of the reasons why: 1. She looks at the whole picture of my health instead of just the symptons I came in with. 2. She listens well and smiles a lot. 3. I recently had results of a VERY high cholesteral count, and was afraid that I would get a lecture, and instead she was very reassuring and she gave me a few suggestions and a list for a dietary changes and asked my to come back in 90 days after another blood test to see if the count will have decreased. She spent almost an hour with me. 4. The staff there is wonderful (maybe because I smile at them a lot and ask how they are?)

I just moved to this side of town and was looking for a new doctor to see for an overall health check up since it has been a while since I had anything checked or tested. Getting older, starting to feel sluggish, a little down due to life’s curveballs, yada, yada... I saw Dr. Velayudhan yesterday and man, let me tell you she is AMAZING!!!?????? Probably the best doctor I’ve seen in town. She spent a lot of time doing an overall assessment, asking a lot of good questions to get a gauge on what I needed done. Really took her time, excellent bedside manner. The most thing I was impressed with was that she doesn’t just treat the issue, but looks at external causes and gives recommendations/advice to overcome those as well. I highly recommend Dr. V!

Every time I have seen her I felt comfortable and well taken care of and I have been going to her for years. So has my mother who is diabetic, and we always feel like we are given good care.

She was adequate as long as you follow her instructions. When I did not have blood work done because there was a potential $400 out of pocket expense that I questioned, I got an explanation with a nice lecture that if I was in such financial distress that maybe I shouldn't "buy that handbag or drive the car I drive" so that I'm prepared for these expenses. How insulting! My bag was a gift, my car has 198,000 miles, I work 2 jobs which is why I questioned the blood work expense!

Terribly rude front office customer service. They run the practice. The front office has no care or concern for your condition or how long you have to wait after your designated appointment time. They should be working in a tow yard. Doctor has no message or voice mail and front office staff screens calls and does not pass along messages. If you cross them, they withhold renewals of your prescriptions. There are too many other good practices to put up with this.
