Dr. Chopra changed my life, and I don’t say that lightly. I was having debilitating swelling and pain in my knees that nobody else could diagnose - even the HEAD of the PRACTICE told me “I don’t know why this is happening. Follow up in 6 months.” I was so frustrated and hopeless. After many more months of my primary doc and orthopedists telling me to see rheumatology again, I called and asked to see another provider. At first I was told that “doctor swapping” wasn’t allowed at St. Francis. “Why are you requesting another doctor? She’s the head of the practice.” “Because she said she has no idea what’s wrong with me…?” I was told to hold, and a few minutes later they scale back and said, “Well there’s a new doctor, I mean new to the practice, she said she’ll see you.” Little did I know, it was… Dr. Monia Chopra. My first visit, this beautiful, caring, compassionate ANGEL of a human spent over an hour with me. She asked me specific, intelligent questions. She LISTENED to my answers. She was, and is, everything that Web MD Symptom Checker is supposed to be - input information, analyze, *ding* your diagnosis is ready (and it’s actually correct, not like “um you’re either dying or pregnant”). She diagnosed me during that visit, prescribed a medication, and after 4 weeks of taking it my symptoms were GONE. That was almost 18 months ago, and they haven’t come back. I had spent almost a YEAR searching for answers, and not only did Dr. Chopra give them to me, but she fixed me. She gave me quality of life back. I would trust my own mother in the hands of Dr. C. You should too.
