I've seen Dr Ritsema twice and she caught a torn retina the first time. She is very thorough, listens and is very pleasant to work with.

Dr. Molly Ritsema performed cataract surgery on both my eyes Sept. 16, 2019. Everything went well, and I now have 20/15 vision. What an improvement! She is very competent and has an excellent chairside manner. I am fortunate to have her as my ophthalmologist.

Would not recommend. Explained before surgery I wanted close up vision to be the primary. Day after surgery I knew something was wrong. My eyes had been switched and I have poor close up vision. Was told I wouldn’t need glasses to drive. Went to get my “glasses prescription” done I was told by eye glasses place that the prescription was for glasses to be worn All the time! Told by another Dr I probably didn’t need cataract surgery at all, Glaucoma was problem. To late now surgery done.

Dr. Ritsema is so patient with me. She explains in great detail any problems she foresees or successes she predicts. She explained all the eye medical conditions that I had. She performed my cataract surgery and patiently waited to be paid because I had to make times. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for her appointments, but I'd wait even longer because of how I am treated by her and her employees. EXCELLENT DOCTOR!

I am updating my angry response re Dr Ritsema after a painful complication during 1st eye cataract surgery. She did do 2nd eye and after the pain was relieved, I understood that minor yet painful complication can happen. She treated me very well, even knowing I put an angry review on display. I can't take it away, but I would at least like to amend. Pain can make people crazy! Thank you Dr Ritsema for all your help! Patty
