Dr. Michael Saidel, MD

When my husband and I moved to Santa Rosa, we needed the services of an ophthalmologist. We are both artists, facing the onslaught of cataracts. We were referred to Dr. Michael Saidel and we couldn’t be happier! He has the experience, knowledge and demeanor to tackle even the toughest vision needs. Add to that a jovial personality and a sincere concern for his patients and we knew we had found the right doctor. My husband was the first to have cataract surgery. Dr. Saidel provided extremely clear, written instructions to follow in preparation for surgery and the subsequent recovery. He utilized state-of-the art technology and compounded eye drops to make adhering to the process easier. My husband's two surgeries were totally successful. He's amazed at how clear his vision is now and how brightly he sees color! Kudos are also in order for Dr. Saidel's staff at the Petaluma office. Everyone, from the nurses to the technicians to the admin support, was skilled, cheery and on-point.

Did a great job on both eyes and the results have been wonderful.

Right eye results are good. Left eye will be done on 11/14. Right now my vision is still wonky. Looking forward to my final results.

Mike & his entire staff are, in a word, fantastic. Everything about the cataract procedure was fully explained down to the most minute detail. I registered at the Sonoma Valley Hospital 9:45am. The procedure itself was performed flawlessly. I was out by 11:15. I unhesitatingly recommend Mike. He & his staff are stellar.

I had an eye exam for both glasses and contact lenses. I had no negative experience with any part of it. There was one puzzling thing that caused my return to see the contact lens specialist to take additional time. Part of my eye exam was left for her to do, which seems could have been included in the first exam. However, it took very little time. I like my new glasses and lenses and enjoy the increase in power in the left eye, even though this was a modest change. Kathy

Dr. Saidel's practice is another of those small, plain, cluttered and rather dated medical offices we're discovering since we moved to CA. But his staff is pleasant and seemingly well-trained and informed. And his own professionalism, expertise and welcoming nature are exemplary. It's a pleasure to recommend him to one and all.

I waited for 20min to be seen but when I was finally called back the staff was incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend this doctors office to anyone looking for an eye doctor, and I’ll be going back for a follow up appt.
