Dr. McKinney and his team were very caring and professional during my appointment for a colonoscopy. Highly recommend

Although my wife and her father had uneventful experiences with McKinney, my own was not as positive. I had a colonoscopy scheduled well in advance and was told all was in order. At the last minute I received a call from someone in his office informing me that there was an issue with my insurance: their anesthesiologist was not on board with my Blue Cross/Blue Shield plan. As a result, I would have to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket that I would not get back. I was shocked at this given that 1) insurance coverage was the first thing they checked and 2)my wife had the same procedure done by him with the exact same insurance without problems. I felt like I was being shaken down by a mob loanshark. The office staff couldn’t care less… They wouldn’t budge on any sort of compromise or flexibility and exuded a completely indifferent attitude. They had ample time to check for problems and should have worked with me to solve the issue rather than letting things fall apart.

So glad to find where Dr. McKinney is now practicing! He provided excellent care for my mother and was very caring and professional. Dr. McKinney has a great bedside manner and I would highly recommend him.

Odd demeanor but very knowledgeable and intelligent.

When I went to Dr. McKinney this time...... his office lied to me about accepting my insurance. I have great insurance, but Blue Cross doesn't carry the Dr., now I have 1,500.00 to pay out of pocket. I nor my family will go to him again. Theresa Bright

To start he was 45 min. late for my apt. He could not interpret the data on the stool test I brought with me?He looked me square in the eye and told a 14 year autoimmune sufferer that his treatments involve prayer, meditation and acupuncture, no science just those religious practices. I also wish I'd read his board records. A complete waste of time for someone who struggles to walk form the couch to kitchen. I have a strong intuition and knew something was very off with this man from the start.

Wish I had looked at his Board record first.

He was very complete with his suspicion of what could be causing my digestive problem. Excellent bedside manner.
