Dr kohan is a great fheumatologist.i came to see him for pain in.my hand. He had me take a number of tests Correctly diagnosed my problem and put me on a medication which helped solve.my condition.He is measured in his speech and those who claim he is cognitively impaired are ignorant and never met a brilliant doctor.im from NY City and know a thing or two about great doctors. And he's one of the best.

Outstanding Quality Care
Dr Kohen diagnosed my situation using proper testing, laboratory findings, history & physical exam. He is brilliant, very compassionate & caring. He figured out the root cause of my issues that have escaped other doctors since at least 1997. He has now treated me over one year with significant progress showing. I have indirectly learned that 3 other people I know are or have been treated by him with great results! I am very very grateful we have such an outstanding Rhumatologist!

Crooks
Tested me for more than I requested. His billing department plays games with their quotes on insurance coverage. As I approached the woman in billing, in witnessed her typing on her computer. She turned to see me coming to ask about my copays, and pressed a key on the keyboard turning the screen black. When I asked her about my payment, she stated she was having problems with her computer and it was not functioning.

Expertise and Compassion
When I first came to see Dr Kohen I could barely walk the pain was so extreme I was unable to do daily activity. Dr Kohen ran tests for rheumatoid arthritis etc I am now on a helpful medication. Thank you Dr Kohen

Terrible overall
The doc is simply not with it any longer. I’ve read some reviews and can attest to it. He is very frail and tired looking. He asked me 4x if I had a family history of lupus.

Total disaster
I saw Dr. Kohen for the first time about 2 months ago and was baffled he can continue to stay in practice. The individual is completely slow and unable to maintain a conversation looking in the eye. He unfortunately kept repeating himself and asking same question over and over. It is quite impressive to me how this is allowed.

Terrible bedside manner
I saw dr kohen for new allergy visit. What a disaster. He did not listen to anything I said and basically said allergies are normal.I honestly don’t think his mind was there during the visit. I am very disappointed with this doctor.

Nice person but tired looking
The doctor is actually sweet and gentle but it’s pretty obvious he is having a hard time. He asked same questions 3-4 times and had lots of difficulties with computer system. I just felt bad for him. We will not return.

Bad overall
I sa Dr. Kohen 3-5 times in the last year or so. He cannot remember my. diagnosis and always keeps asking. my diagnosis. I not only think this is disrespectful but now i am questioning his memory.

Declining quality of care
I see Dr. Kohen since 2018 and. was generally happy with his care but for the past 2 years he has shown signs of cognitive decline that are quite frankly very concerning. He repeats himself several times. The staff has been awful also with some rude entitled women. I am not coming back.

Retirement bomb
Dr. Kohen has become incredible forgetful and impatient. I have been going to see him for about 4 years now and every time I basically need to remind him basic aspects of my history. He has offered to give the same medication that put me in the hospital twice. I believe he is burnout and just needs to retire.

Excellent doctor
Dr. Kohen listens to everything you say to him. He pays attention to what you tell him. if it is something that may affect what he is treating you for, he will let you know. He is very easy to understand, makes sure if a medication is prescribed that it is affordable and he has a great sense of humor

Dr.Kohen is the best!
Dr.Kohen is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and dedicated to finding solutions. He is also kind and personable and I trust him implicitly. I have a complex health history and he has helped me with many conditions over the years and I’m so grateful to be under his care. His nurses and staff are also very kind, attentive and prompt to assist. I highly recommend Dr.Kohen!

Finally Pain Relief
Back pain was constant and was getting shots in my hand for RA even after hand surgery. Dr. Kohen prescribed a once a month injection and my hand pain is gone and back pain has been greatly minimized! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Wait time was a little long but he spends whatever time is needed with his patients, so I get it.

The staff Linda is very unprofessional. She said very loud “you owe a lot of money” and most people in waiting area all kept looking at me. I do believe this employee should be trained better as her ability to talk to patients is clearly messed up. I will discuss that with Dr. Kohen in my next visit.

Coming from John’s Hopkins as a patient and a health care employee I was lucky to find dr kohen. His knowledge base is outstanding he also continues to attend educational seminars and conferences to be the best he can. He is also always trying to educate the patient and make them part of the care process.
