He has such a great bedside manner. He speaks slowly and makes sure I understand everything. I have had Dr Basista for quite sometime. I do not wish to go to anyone else. He is very thorough.

Highly Recommend
I’ve seen Dr B for over 20 years and when I was having trouble he watched me very closely to make sure I got quick treatment if things got worse. They did and I ended up in hospital, getting a life saving surgery. I find him to be personable, kind and most importantly extremely competent. I highly recommend the practice and Dr B

Colonoscopy
I was in severe epigastric pain after my procedure, it felt for about 20 minutes that I might have to go to the ER. It took an hour for it to go away, then I was fine. It was air that was trapped in my colon during the procedure, and it passed in the car on the way home partly, the rest when I sat on the commode. I don't know if it was avoidable, to be fair. But the recovery room nurses were not concerned at all that I was in a lot of pain, and more interested in getting me out of there. I would not recommend Promedica Wellness Surgery Center on Monroe St. There was no follow up call to ask about my experience but when I did call, there was no real answer or concern from them when I told them about the pain.

Dr. Basista has been doing my procedures for many years. I just recently had a procedure and it couldn’t have went any better. From the time I scheduled, to the actual procedure. I want to put the nurses in the spotlight. They were all great. Very friendly, kind and caring. Thank you all for giving that special attention, it did not go unnoticed.

I first saw Dr. Basista after I had been hospitalized during a horrible UC flare. Under his care, I started Humira and Lialda in order to reduce my symptoms and eventually go into remission. Dr. Basista always takes time with me to ensure he thoroughly understands any symptoms related to my condition. When I call the office and leave a message, I promptly receive phone calls back.
