New patient
I’m new to the area. I have some serious health issues. Dr. Corman went over my medical records with me. We discussed my options. We will decide on a plan of treatment after we get my test results. He was kind and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed. I feel like he really cared.

Very unhappy
My mom who is 87 goes to see Dr. Corman and before he responds that she is not a patient of his , yes she is and every time she goes to him because her IBS is acting up he does absolutely nothing about it and ignores what she is saying and once again she is a patient of his and yes it is like him before he responds to this message. I will be looking for a new gastroenterologist for her.

bedside manner
My mother had a follow-up 3 EGDs done by Dr. Corman at St Vincent and St Luke, and all three times, after the procedures each time he seemed rushed and distracted giving vague explanations. Not going back.

Doesn't listen/Wants all your money
Scheduled me for an EGD and Colonoscopy even though my symptoms were only lower GI. Did a biopsy on normal tissue "to be safe" and told me it was probably fine, only for me to find out it doubled what I'd be billed. Taking $1500 plus out of pocket after insurance paid nearly 80%. Kept trying to force iron on me when I am asymptomatic anemic, and when I told him my anemia is more related to a lady problem that needs surgery, he made a very juvenile "eww face" at me. His office charged me for a no show when I called twice to confirm I couldn't complete the colonoscopy prep nearly 18 hours before the procedure. He also spent an entire visit trying to convince me I was stupid because I said I trusted the liver biopsy (gold standard) results over the ultrasound results his office provided that would have drastically changed my diagnosis for the worse.

I was 21 and dealing with Crohn's. I was terrified of what was happening and he was acting like my buddy/way too casual. He was so nonchalant when talking about possible surgery. After my only appointment with him, I changed to another Dr in the practice. After 5 years, I have not had to have surgery as he suggested or scared me into. I'm scarred from demeanor. I would never recommend Dr. Corman. His attitude stinks and I don't feel comfortable with him as a man nor doctor.

I had a Endoscopy with Dr. Corman on April 1st 2019. He was very nice and explained what was going to take place. I have nothing but good things to say about NWO Gastroenterology. I was scared but they put your mind at ease. I was very well taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. Thank You.

Went to the center for a test to look at my esophagus and stomach. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism of Dr. Corman and his entire staff. They were very efficient and kind. The nurse anesthesiologist was awesome, he told me I would be very comfortable, and I was. No hangover all day long. Excellent. Dr. Corman was very professional and courteous. Definitely recommend.
