Went downhill
I saw this doctor for two appointments. The first she was actually really nice and understanding about my symptoms, and she ordered a lab and they all came back normal. She suggested I schedule a follow-up when I asked her a few months later about the possibility of PCOS, and talked about ordering an ultrasound. When the follow-up appointment came along, she didn’t bring up PCOS or the ultrasound at all. She was patronizing me and it was such a 360 from our first meeting. She said twice throughout our talk “I’m an endocrinologist” like I didn’t know what was, that’s why I’m here to test for PCOS like you talked about. She was implying I was wasting her time. She also said near the end that health comes in many different forms and talked about my ED in my medical history, which came off as insinuating the weight gain I discussed with her was somehow related.
What went well
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Staff friendliness
  • Appointment wasn't rushed
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • I didn't feel respected
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions
