Do NOT recommend
Dr. Mosbacker did not listen and misdiagnosed me. He also prescribed pain meds that worsened and caused a flare up of another condition he knew I had. He tried to use medicine to treat the symptoms instead of finding the root cause of my pain. It took an orthopedic doctor to find the problem. The orthopedic doctor diagnosed me with spinal arthritis. He then referred me to a pain doctor after I told him that pain meds interfere with the other condition. When I called Dr. Mosbacker's office to tell him that I would not be following up because I wanted to see the pain med doctor first, they never called me back. Instead, I received a letter from the office, Arthritis Associates PA, signed by the clinical administrator, Ted Villalobos, stating that they would no longer provide or be responsible for any further medical care. No other explanation was given as to why they were just cutting off all medical care. Dr. Mosbacker, is not a doctor who cares about patients. Horrible Doctor!

Very Rude and Doesn’t Listen
I went to Dr. Mossbacker a little over a year ago and was shocked by his inability to listen and respect the list of symptoms I was having. He ran a few blood tests and did a bone density test. In the end he said I had fibromyalgia and needed to change 2 of the medications I was currently taking. I tried the 2 he prescribed and ended up in the WORST flare up I’ve ever had. I was in extreme pain and suffered from vertigo. At that point I chose not to return and cancelled my follow up. 6 months later I was diagnosed with MS. Definitely stay away!

Rude
This was my first visit and I found Dr. Mosbacker rude, unfriendly and impatient. He asked me a question I answered honestly and he said “that’s not the question I asked you”, so I tried again. He ordered blood work, I have no idea what for and prescribed a new medication that has a moderate reaction to at least 3 of the current medicines I’m on. I have a follow up appointment and I doubt I will be going back. I wish I had done my research on this guy before I made the appointment. Would have saved a lot of time on my part.

Dr. Mossbacker has been my rheumatologist since 2005. He gets negative reviews and I would like to tell you why I have stayed. He was so patient , took his time ,asked ton of questions, and he knew I was in pain. He gently held my hands and arms as he examined my joints. We talked for a long time because I wasn’t able to get my facts straight. I remember crying and he never, ever dismissed any of my feelings. He was using my husband to fill parts of my story. He got relief to me and discussed my symptoms. I was able to keep working and functioning as a human with little or no pain. Today I still have my many autoimmune disorders but Dr Mossbacker has been able to put my illness into remission. Dr. Mossbacker expects his patients to take an active part in their care. I have asked him questions about other treatments and he knows exactly what I am talking about. He is able to give pros and cons on any new developments in medical science.

Never got to see him
I was told to be at his office 30 minutes early for the appointment. I live about 45 minutes away and left my house 1.5 hours prior to the appointment time. I was unfortunately stuck in traffic which ended up being a rollover accident. This was unforeseen and completely out of my control. I called the office to let them know I was going to be a little late. According my GPS, I would have been 8 minutes late. I was told by the receptionist that I would have to reschedule because it was more than 5 minutes late. No Thank you! I did not want to see a doctor who cares more for the time on the clock than he does his patient's chronic pain. I will make sure my referring doctor knows this information.

Poor communication
Doctor rolled his eyes and snarked when I asked him a simple medical question. Then was dismissive. I will be changing care asap.

I regret not doing more research....
I have a high regard for the medical community and generally hold their knowledge to an esteemed standard. That said, my appointment with Dr. Mosbacker was unfortunately the poorest I've experienced. I was greeted with very cold bedside manners which is unfortunate but permissible; I understand that these doctors aren't there to be your best friend. After acknowledging a fraction of mild symptoms I was experiencing, Dr. Mosbacker recommended that I start on prescription medications. I asked if there were any lifestyle and dietary changes that I could implement before starting on pharmaceuticals to which he replied "this isn't a perfect world, the money follows the prescription drugs so that is what will be most highly regulated" refusing to acknowledge the presence of third party regulatory agencies for natural supplements. My interest in finding the root of an issue rather than just masking some symptoms with meds labeled me as naive and incompetent. I left feeling very dejected.

I felt like he couldn’t give me any information. I had questions about what might be going on with me, and it didn’t really seem like he wanted to talk about my condition, and pretty much told. there was no hope, other than drugs. He just wanted to know if I wanted drugs for pain, which isn’t bad yet, but this is all new to me so I’m concerned about my future. He said two of my three problem areas were not arthritis, but he really didn’t explain anything to me related to the huge amount of bloodwork and x-rays he took. I left feeling baffled. I’m not interested in going back to him. Other reviewers said that they couldn’t change doctors, so I may have to find another clinic. I was ok with his ridiculous wait time policy only because the staff was VERY clear about it when I made the appointment, so there were no surprises.

I have been seeing Dr Mosbacker for approximately 6 months. After years of doctors not listening to me I found myself in his office. He has the worst bedside manner I’ve ever seen in my life. As a nurse.. that says a lot. Every appointment I’ve ever had with him to include my first appointment has been 5 minutes or less. Every single time I’ve seen him he’s made me cry. My second visit with him he scolded me like a child because I wasn’t more detailed and elaborate when telling him “how I was doing”. I still don’t feel like he’s listening to me. I definitely would not recommend him to anyone else that I know. I would say do your research first and find a better Rheumatologist. He definitely makes me feel like there is no hope in feeling better at all. This is what I will feel like forever. He might be a brilliant doctor. I don’t know. But his attitude and bedside manner make him the worst I’ve ever met before.

Awful never returned calls. Got angry when I explained why I couldn’t take a certain medication. Although I am on a medication for RA is not working. Waited for hours on his assistant to give me medication he ordered. I called for appointment never got a callback or an appointment. I am in considerable pain no response no lab work to see if medication is working. Treated like I was the dumbest person who ever came to his office.

Dr. Mosbacker has the worst bedside manner. I was still asking questions and he’s already walking out the door. He is extremely informative, but just as arrogant. The staff wouldn't let me change doctors due to their policy. I feel sorry for the real doctors in that office. Definitely would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Mosbacker sees multiple people in my family and he is the worst. He pops all of us with medications and when we have any questions he ignores us and acts like we’re crazy. My mother had questions about a medication she had been prescribed and he ignored her concerns and upped the medication. He takes advantage of my grandmother all the time and ignores her problems. I don’t trust this man with older people at all. Don’t let him take advantage of you and your family. All he does is take your money. He is not concerned with your health at all.

For the person who said they were asked to come back after being 3 minutes late... I was a patient for almost ten years, would wait 5-15 minutes (not bad), be seen for 5, do labs, and repeat every 3 months. When I had my first child I canceled my first apt because I couldn’t take the crying of my poor baby and instead my husband turned us around and took us to eat. They were pretty understanding for me being a new mom. My next appointment ended up being just me since my husband had already returned to work. I wasn’t even late. I just was not 15 minutes early. I was only 5 minutes early. They made it seem like he made a HUGE exception and “would go ahead and see me“, even though I always brought my forms filled out and wouldn’t have set them back at all. It’s a patient mill. He was rude, as was his staff. I play by the rules and understand timeliness. I also understand that I’m the one who couldn’t even hold my baby at the time due to a flare, and was lucky to have even made it there.

The doctor was extremely rude to my wife, acted like she was crazy even though she had a referral from a doctor. Tried pushing medications on her without even doing any sort of exam. Definitely would not recommend this “doctor” if you actually need help find someone else.

No clue if he’s a good doctor. His new patient coordinator was impossible to get a hold of. It took 10 days to get her on the phone and by then it was two MORE weeks to get in with the doctor than originally quoted 10 days earlier. When I pointed the issue out to her she chastised me for acting like I was the only patient calling. What a great impression to be making on the public. If that’s an acceptable way a prospective patient is treated when they are pointing out an issue in that office, I can’t imagine how the established patients are treated in similar situations now that they’re invested and effectively trapped in this practice.
