Co-pay
the initial visit went well met the dr. she ran blood work test in her office. I had paid co-pay which should have been $50.00 not $100.00 then I get a call that they need to run the blood work again just to make sure that her test was the same, I go on and have the blood work repeated and on my next visit to the dr. office I paid another $100.00 for my co-pay at this time I go in and see her PA and she wants to run blood work again I told her No!! if you had all this blood work done and still want more something is wrong with you are handling my medical status. I received a bill for $114.00 which I said okay, then in the next 3-4 days another bill for $214.00 to my surprise so I called and talked to the billing department and they said they failed to inform me of an outstanding balance which was a surprise and news to me because they never once told me in the office visits, be careful when visiting this office as they hid things from you about your bill and overcharge.

Informative and takes her time to listen
I have only seen her twice but both times I was impressed that she took the time to explain psoriatic arthritis which was new to me and a treatment plan. I have seen the NP twice. I felt the opposite. I was very disappointed as I was concerned about my new x-rays which were alarming since I had been in more pain and in different regions. She didn’t seem to care. It felt like I was a bother to her. I didn’t understand all the terminology and she rarely looked up from her laptop to care. I was referred to a pain Dr. with a 2 months wait. I simply wanted to know about the changes in pain regions and why. I had a bad case of COVID 8 months prior and am now a long-hauler, which I believe jettisoned my PSA and the inflammation, pain and fatigue with it. I will be seeing Dr Ayala in 3 months and will discuss my concerns with her.

Best rheumatologist hands down, cannot say enough good about her. I have seen many other drs who seem to not care about my pain and many illnesses and make you feel like its in your head. Dr ayala truley cares, listens and has compassion for her patients. As she no longer takes my insurance it is well worth paying out of pocket to see her. I will never see another dr again as long as she is still in practice. She will try everything she can to help you as much as possible. Love love dr Ayala!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ayala for a number of years. She is very thorough, kind , and compassionate. She truly cares about her patients. In a day when doctors often don't take time to listen to their patients, Dr. Ayala stands out as one who truly listens and takes time with her patients. I never feel rushed. I can ask her anything and not feel "stupid" doing so. Beyond all of this, Dr. Ayala is a woman of faith in God, for which I hold her in very high regard. 5+++ stars for her!!

Have been berated by staff because insurance has not paid, I was told that I wasn't trying to resolve it! Didn't get my infusion scheduled and NP wouldn't give reason, so missing that dose and dealing with stress and multiple other health issues has caused diseases to flare. I used to highly recommend this MD, but won't be returning. My disease is as bad as before diagnosis 15 years ago, but nobody cares. My husband and I can't get ins companies to resolve and we have no money so I become sicker

The Office Staff for this doctor are awful. My husband was referred to this doctor by his Doctors Office, They faxed over paperwork twice. I spent 20 mins on the phone back and forth with this Office until they received the paperwork. A week later we called back to see what was taking so long for an appt. and the staff said they never received the paperwork. Then they looked it up in their system and they found it. When asked for an appt. they said they were booked till March.
