I will forever be grateful and so appreciative.
I had an emergency. Dr Macha was the surgeon on call.. He is so thoughtful and caring and thorough. I had been having issues since July 2021.. Dr Macha made sure I was back to being myself and fix all my issues. I can never thank him and his staff enough. I only wish there was more Dr’s and staff like them.. Now my whole down fall on this; is he is no longer at the hospital I normally go to so I think I lost him as a Dr and it’s so disappointing and depressing. Find good Dr I like and cares so much and listens then not be able to go to him anymore. I told my family I would just follow him wherever he goes as long as I still can be his patient. Dr Macha said he would fix me and get me better and I wouldn’t have anymore issues. Which I don’t! I have a couple concerns, but I haven’t made a call to him yet. One of the Best and Greatest Surgeons in Idaho. Thank you so very much Dr Macha and all your staff. You all are excellent ..

Mid-March I was stricken by excruciating intestinal pain and vomiting and taken by family to St. Alphonsus ER. EKG showed my heart was in AFIB. Scans and blood tests were done and I was given morphine for pain and admitted at 11:30 P.M. Dr. Macha introduced himself to my wife and family the next morning, and I was taken to the OR for exploratory surgery. Dr. Macha found a blood clot (due to my AFIB) that had reduced blood flow to part of my intestine. He flushed that and I was put on a Heparin I.V. to dissolve other possible clots. Dr. Macha examined me the next morning and was concerned by my distended stomach and the possibility that part of my bowel may have died from the clot. A second surgery found that I was bleeding internally, the bowel was fine. He fixed that and I was taken off the Heparin, given 3 blood transfusions and started improving. Dr. Macha saved my life! My family is grateful! I am now on Eliquis blood thinner and Metoprolol to keep my heart rate steady.

Dr Macha is an outstanding physician and surgeon. He provided excellent care for my 91 year old mother who needed surgery. He communicated well with the family and reassured my mother that she would be well cared for at every step of the procedure and throughout her rehab/recovery. Exceptional care at every step of the way. My mother is doing well after her surgery and feeling better than ever! Our appreciation for Dr. Macha's expertise and exceptional patient care.

Referred to Dr. Macha through the ER because of severe diverticulitis. He talked about options, and about the consequences of doing nothing at this time. He provided detailed info about surgery needed, what I should expect and about recovery. Nursing staff at the hospital was extremely complimentary. Follow up by Dr Macha's nurse after I returned home was very helpful and available as needed. Post surgery apt. was helpful and easy to schedule. Definitely would refer family and friends.
