I am not a liar - This "doctor's" behavior was uncalled for! I’ve never been treated like this from ANY “doctor” in my life. I visited the clinic 3 times. The first 2 times sounded like a vet clinic because the “doctor” had his dog there barking nonstop. This did honestly make me feel like I was in a back-alley clinic, but my orthopedic doctor referred me to him for relief until I can get surgery. My first visit, I found that I couldn’t get the normal pain procedures done for my back pain due to a heart condition I was recently diagnosed with so he gave me pain meds instead. The second meeting I shared with him that the strength wasn’t working well and occasionally I’d take 1.5 pills instead of 1 when the pain was unbearable. He rudely told me he should drop me as a patient immediately because I didn’t realize it was against the rules. I accidentally missed my next appt and called the office 3-4 times for a new appointment. I left voice messages and when I finally reached someone they told me they had voicemail issues. I set the next available appointment. When I got to my last appointment the “doctor” asked what happened. Then he told me I was lying because no one in his office told me there were phone issues and told me that he didn't believe me. He then kicked me out. I was shaking and in tears. He treated me terribly. I am not a liar and did not under any circumstance deserve to be treated that way by someone calling themselves a "medical professional". This man has no compassion at all. Zero stars is more appropriate.

The staff is very friendly & professional. The Dr gave me his complete attention, left me very few questions to ask. I haven’t had to wait weeks for appointments, which is HUGE for pain management.

Good Interventional Pain Dr
I saw Dr. Kaplan for some knee and joint pain. He was patient, worked to understand my problem, and put togehter a plan that, after a couple of months, helped me feel much better. I'd recommend Dr. Kaplan to anyone seeking pain relief.

By far, the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor!! The first thing he did when he opened the door to see me is actually yelled at me for not having my mask on at the moment. He spent 3 minutes with me and showed absolutely no concern with what was going on with my foot. I would highly not recommend this “doctor” to anyone!

Dr. Kaplan is very thorough and I'm very impressed with the time he gave me in clinic. He truly listened to my story and effectively put me on the best treatment plan for my pain. I am doing considerably better now and I owe it to Dr. Kaplan. Thank you for your amazing care for me.

I thought Dr. Kaplan and I had a good relationship, but after he installed a neural stimulator, he gave me incomplete instructions, as did the company rep, and then called me non compliant. There were no written instructions to refer to and he accused me of not responding to messages, but he clearly had two phone numbers for me. I feel betrayed bu someone that had my trust.

He is the worst Dr I have ever seen. I am having my stim removed due to him placing in a wrong spot. Kept telling me everything is fine, He will tell you one thing one week then do a complete 180 the very next week, exp. "had to lift the muscle" to "I never touched the muscle" in one week. This guy should not be allowed to procedures.

Going to see this doctor was a waste of time and money. Very disappointed with the lack of improvement or the mere lack of concern that after two months I hadn’t shown any improvement. Apparently he has no knowledge of how to treat fibromyalgia, if Savella doesn’t work, his so called mastic bullet”. He has zero answers. Doctors like this should be required to give a refund if copayments. Actually zero stars would be an adequate rating.

I was able to get right in to see Dr. Kaplan, before the end of the visit I had a MRI scheduled. By the end of the week I was getting an injection to help my pain (which it DID!) and enjoying my vacation the next day.

Dr. Kaplan is extremely professional, easy to talk to and has a warm personality. He identified my problem/s and took the proper steps to make sure I was pain free. His office is busy (which is a sign of a good doctor). However, he never appears rushed and always makes me feel as I am the only one there. He provides the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during every visit. His supportive staff is friendly and efficient.

My family and I have had great experiences with Dr. Kaplan. He has treated myself, my husband, and my daughter who had seen 6 Orthopedic Spine doctors from Austin to Dallas before getting relief by Dr. Kaplan. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor who is patient, extremely knowledgeable, and willing to think out of the box.

My dear friend and I went to him via referral from a physician. Drove from out of town to office in Austin in hopes of helping with pain from severe arthritis. Dr. Was not only rude but had no compassion. He was not there to help. His words were unkind and uncaring. She left the office in tears midway through the appointment. He has no idea what she has been through. He had no interest. Find a different physician who hasn't forgotten what it means to help, care and above all.....listen.

Worst pain ever while seeing Dr. Kaplan. He made me feel bad, like I was doing something wrong each time I asked for a dose increase of pain medicine. He started me off at a small amount, that didn't make me feel anywhere near comfortable with my pain. Also received costisone injections numerous times by Dr. Kaplan. He insisted that I did not need sedation or any medicine prior to getting these shots in my neck and back. Even one that was done at a surgical center. Felt worse not better.

On a scale of 1-10, my back pain was at 15. I was referred to Dr. Kaplan via an ER visit. I called his office on Monday morning, that same day his staff scheduled an appt. for me at 11:00; Dr. Kaplan arranged for an MRI at 5:00; he called me at home at 9:30 p.m. to confirm his diagnosis and scheduled me for a steroid injection the next morning, Tuesday at 8:00. He has an excellent bedside manner and showed me tender compassion. He fixed me. I could not have been better served.
