Dr. Millar saved my life twenty years ago when on my first visit to her she insisted I get a mammogram. Not in the upcoming future but immediately. Upon the results I was sent for a sonogram and then a biopsy. In less than 6 weeks I had had a radical mastectomy and she would be doing a total hysterectomy due to having estrogen positive breast cancer after a six week recovery from the breast surgery. For the last twenty some years she has always been up front and honest with me good, bad. I have such respect for her and her professional and always very caring medical performance, which includes emotional health as well as physical.

My family saw Dr. Millar for many, many years. She always made me feel very comfortable and taken care of. However, in the past few years, we all have dropped her as our provider due to some really questionable treatment & recommendations. My sister had decided to take out her IUD to try for a baby, and Dr. Millar discouraged and berated her to keep it in and not get pregnant. Not even as a preventative measure due to health issues. Just for some reason didn't want her to get pregnant. As for myself, Dr. Millar had recommended I keep my IUD in for an additional 2 years past its expiration, which I found a bit disturbing. I went to my primary care who removed my IUD to place a new one, and she was flabbergasted Dr. Millar recommended this to me. Not only for obvious reasons, but once she went to remove it she found Dr. Millar cut the string too short and was buried in my cervix! Had I listed and kept it in, I likely would have needed it surgically removed. So disappointed with her.
