I don’t like her & don’t forgive her
I feel like she wasn’t very nice to me at all. I mistakenly thought that psychiatrists genuinely cared about patients. I was wrong thinking that about her. She prescribed really heavy medications that made no sense for the actual diagnosis given. She gave a diagnosis that another psychiatrist agreed with then a rule-out on her own. You don’t provide the strongest scripts possible for a rule-out especially when no one supported the rule-out at the time. The other psychiatrist didn’t agree with her at all & said literally the opposite of what she said. What made her decide to then go ahead and put heavy scripts on there when she could’ve chosen a more appropriate script and left it at that? I never took them & was better for it. Nothing she did was helpful. I wish I never met her. I’ll never respect her. I felt like she was trying to ruin my life. I’ll never trust a psychiatrist ever again & I am glad that I didn’t take her recommendations seriously.

Dr. "G" was very kind, thoughtful, informative - she added a secondary prescription for my GAD, which severely increased after the death of my husband. This helped me tremendously, and I used far less Xanax, which worked temporarily but always left me tired. Cognitive Behavior suggestions were helpful as well, but my anxiety is not solely treatable that way and requires SSRI's. One drawback is the months it takes to get an appointment. Do NOT miss your appointment!
