I would advise anyone against going to see Martin Lan for psychiatry. I was participating in a research study at Columbia and answered a few questions to another psychologist about feeling depressed lately. She brought me to Alan who spent no more than ten minutes with me and told me he was going to have to commit me into the facility overnight against my will. After spending only ten minutes with me. He called a security guard and refused to let me leave and I had to call my lawyer on the phone who told me to walk away because security didn’t have a right to hold me in that instance. What a nightmare. I was not this man’s patient, but would advise anyone seeking help to not trust this man.
