Initial Visit
Dr. Emig is a very nice guy who was easy to talk to as I explained my long boring history with my hip and back. He asked pertinent questions and gave me a thorough examination. I could not been treated better by him or his staff

Dr. Emig sat as far away from me in the office as possible. He was rude, condescending and could not (or would not) try to understand what was going on. I changed doctors in his office and he tried to sabotage the relationship, that is until an MRI showed Dr. Emig was dead wrong. Find another doctor!

Dr. Emig is extremely compassionate, caring, and a great listener. He takes all the time needed to explain his findings and thoughts, and goes out of his way to take into consideration what interactions medicines, both prescribed and over-the-counter, can have not only on orthopedic issues, but on the body as a whole. I most highly recommend this fine doctor.

I'm nearly 70 with a complicated medical history, so I've seen lots of Drs. in my life. I found Dr. Emig to be warm, professional, and thorough. He took his time to explain and listen. I would highly recommend him.

Marshall Emig MD is not very compassionate regarding back pain or issues. His bedside manner is generally horrific. He is fine and even nice at some visits and rude, arrogant, and condescending at other appointments. His attitude is much better during procedure visits then regular office appointment visits. Maybe he doesn’t enjoy interacting with people very much? He also rushes you through regular appointment visits and of course does not make you feel comfortable asking more than a few very quick questions. He does not make himself available for follow up questions either unless you make another appointment with him. People with chronic pain issues deserve better than this!

HORRIFIC BEDSIDE MANNER! Dr. Marshall Emig is a arrogant and condescending. He is not at all compassionate regarding back pain and rushes you through the appointments with him. He also does not make himself available for follow up questions.

He was very rude, and I dread having to go back to get my results. I have a fusion in my lower back, had it for almost 20 years. He said he did not see it on the X-ray and thought if I had it, it was only between 4 and 5 and not 3,4,5 as I told him. I think I do know what surgery I had. I will not recommend him, he as issues.

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to waste their time with this incompetent person. Told me my condition was all in my head when in reality he failed to perform a proper nerve test to diagnose TOS. 2nd opinion properly diagnosed and treated me in 1 visit after wasting a year being degraded and belittled by this waste of oxygen

Horrible Dr that couldn't perform a basic nerve test to diagnose TOS. Instead told me my condition was all in my head and I needed to quit my job. Finally sought out a 2nd opinion who was able to properly perform a nerve test and TOS was confirmed. 1 treatment for it and I was cured. So sad I wasted a year with Emig degrading me.

Marshall Emig is one of the reasons I continue to have the majority of my healthcare taken care of at University. He is a true professional and has a great test-side manner. He explained everything he was doing and apologized before-during and after my procedure. If I ever need another test for CPS(I hope not) but will request him.
