Dr. Marly Dows-Martinez, MD

I have had many visits with several different specialty provider within the past 2 years. After no clear resolution to solve my issue, I took a leap of faith to go see an Orthopedic without an appointment. The office gracefully saw me without hesitation. She was the only provider that I had seen that completed a thorough assessment, ordered an X-Ray and explained the x-rays in latent terms without rushing. As an older patient there are several areas that hurt. Dr Dows-Martinez listens to all my complaints and always takes time to listen. I like that she is conservative and doesn’t rush you to surgery or drastic procedures! I feel blessed to have her and PA Jackie Rogers as my providers for orthopedic issues.

She spent time listening and explaining the problem.

She put me at ease with her confidence and friendliness. She explained things well without talking down to me. She really seems to understand.

Starting from front office, nurse, radiology, overall Dr Dows-Martinez offer phenomenal service. Resurgen’s staff are client oriented.

Dr Dows-Martinez is a caring and excellent physician. She has cared for both my wife and I for the past four years. She has performed procedures and made recommendations that have eased our arthritic pain and has made our life more comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking orthopedic help.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again- my career is credentialing providers. Basically what I do is fact check everything anyone sends me and make sure they are qualified and quality care providers, that leaves me being very picky on who I allow to treat me. Dr. Dows-Martinez and her nurse/MA (not sure exactly her credentials) Kelci are second to none. I, unfortunately have genetics passed down to me that have caused back issues at a young age. Dr. Dows-Martinez and Kelci have treated me for a few years. When I do have an appointment or an issue they listen attentively, they want me to live a normal pain free life and it’s like visiting with friends. I can speak honestly and openly with them. Dr. Dows-Martinez remembers personal things I’ve shared with her and will always ask about them. Back/spine/nerve issues is a scary condition to trust anyone to treat, but Dr. Dows-Martinez is honestly the one I trust. I appreciate them very much! She literally has my back (pun intended)

I have seen Dr. Dows-Martinez for a few years to help with nerve pain since having back surgery in 2019. She has always been so compassionate and caring. She takes time to really listen. She has helped me so much! She and her team, in my opinion, are the best!

Dr Dows-Martinez has treated for back and neck pain for many years. She is so kind and attentive and it’s so comforting to know that she is there to help when I have these problems.

I went in because of bone on bone, severe arthritis. I was in severe pain. After reviewing the X-rays Dows-Martinez confirmed the severity of the arthritis. And under my assumption that she, being an experienced physician, she has some type of idea of the pain I was in. She said I needed surgery. After I lose 30 pounds. In the meantime I was given a prescription for pain medication at 5mg. The medication did nothing for me. I decided to see a surgeon from previously, who after taking one look at my X-rays, immediately scheduled me for surgery. No questions asked. My concern is, the lack of concern shown by Dow’s-Martinez for my pain and discomfort.

I have been seeing Dr. Dows-Martinez for several years and she has literally changed my life. I need to make an appointment but she's out of the office until October...I wish I could wait for her to come back. She has great bedside manners, performs thoughtful examinations, she listens carefully and makes eye contact, then follows up with relevant questions. She hasn't been wrong yet.

Don’t bother with this physician. I was 10 minutes late in raining Atlanta morning rush hour traffic and she refused to see me. Typical of today’s healthcare professionals

The doctor herself is ok but her staff is horrible and the company she works for is even worse. She has good bedside manner compared to other doctors, but sometimes didn't really listen to my complaints and also felt like trying to force me to have procedures that didn't help.
