It has been many years since I have been in. I can tell you he is one of the best doctors in Rheumatology that I have ever had. Can be a bit different but that is just him. I was a young woman and now 73. I had been to every doctor imaginable. Was going downhill fast. Went to Dr. Jason and he ran so many tests, especially blood tests. He found I had Lupus. He saw me through a year of constant care and visits to bring me back to a normal life. This was 40 years ago when is was so hard to diagnose. He save my life....

I have struggled for years to find out what is wrong with me. Dr. Jason took the time to talk to me AND read my charts. He ordered blood tests for things no one had EVER thought of, and sure enough, he found my issue. He can be brusque, but don't let that be off-putting. His office staff are really wonderful, especially Eva, who made sure to help me get what Dr. Jason needed from me.

Extremely good diagnostic doctor, years ago Dr. Jason recognized I had Rheumatoid arthritis, and provided solutions for me and nearly 20 years later, I am doing well thanks to his ongoing care. He is very precise and to the point, and some take this as uncaring or indifferent and it simply could not be farther from the truth. He is the most caring physician I have ever met, best rheumatologist I have seen, and his integrity, knowledge, experience, and follow through are beyond question. One of the finest human beings I've ever met as well. Dr. Jason is a great find for anyone with auto-immune issues.

I saw Dr. Jason on a referral and he was horrible. Rude, gruff and completely uninterested in my case. He made me sit in the doorway of the exam room while he sat in the room (this is during COVID19, but still) and his other patients who were getting infusions were literally 3 feet away from me, listening to our entire exchange. He spent the first 5-10 minutes grilling me about a tattoo on each arm. He refused to examine me at all, which seemed weird, even though I realize that the coronavirus is an issue. He practically reprimanded me that I had not had Xrays done already and said that I need to go do that before he could help me. Fine- so I went to get the Xrays and he had not written a diagnosis code or signed the Xray order so they wouldn't do it. I was told to go back to him (they are only open 2 days a week) and get it signed and come back. I called my insurance company and got a new referral to someone else. I would not recommend this doctor at all.

If you want someone to provide the best treatment, Dr. Jason is your guy. I was afflicted with a somewhat debilitating arthritis in my 30s that left it difficult to walk or pick up my kids. Shaking hands was excruciating. Jason treated my condition aggressively, trying one medicine after another until he found one that worked. Have been in remission for about 20 years now. Dr Jason is an unusual personality...perhaps not for everyone. But I enjoyed our appointments and talks and truly appreciate him for his excellent service over many years.

I have never wrote a review before but felt compelled to after my visits with Dr Jason. His staff and nurses are very diligent, nice, and understanding. I have never left a doctor’s office in tears and continued to cry in the parking lot. Dr. Jason was very crude, unempathic, and judegemental. He had no intention of taking care of me.

Doctor not at all concerned about my issue, sent me for expensive labs and wasn't in office all 5 times I called. Was told reports negative and they were positive but he said through his admin they were insignificant but with no explanation. Works from home via email only to his Admin in office. Not a quality doctor or experience. Has 2 dogs walking around his office and not clean

Disappointed in Laguna Niguel – Jul 04, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Jason?
I would not recommend this doctor if he was the last rheumatologist on Earth. Horrible and very unprofessional. Uncompassionate and distracted by his own interests. Kept my X-rays and refused to mail them, because he was too cheap to pay for postage. Doesn't read MRIs, but lied to the insurance. He requested blood work and, again, told the insurance I was the one asking for it. He ordered a large amount of X-rays and said I WAS THE ONE that wanted ALL of them.

I have read the other reviews left on this site and I must comment. Dr. Jason is an unusual person - think Dr. House from the TV. Yes, he can be gruff and even nasty. But the truth of the matter is this: there is no better diagnostician in Orange County. So if you want your hand held and your tears wiped, go somewhere else! But if you want answers to your problems and an accurate diagnosis, this is where you need to be!

Not only is he terrible at his job but I would not recommend a sick person ever be around him. He clearly does not care about his patients and had nothing positive or hopeful to say to a scared 20 year old. He basically asked me to decide if I wanted kids right then and scolded me for having a chiropractor order a blood test before seeing a rheumatologist (why would I, if I didn't know I had RA). Wouldn't stop talking about himself and if he did it was to call me stupid and naive.

During the initial exam he never introduced himself and left the door wide open, which was adjacent to his clinic area. Patients could hear and see the entire office visit although there was nothing to see since he did absolutely no physical exam. He did order a lot of lab tests to narrow down the issue but was no more professional on my second and final visit.

Dr. Jason is an extremely experienced Rheumatologist, very good at diagnosis and treatment of arthritis and other auto-immune diseases. His treatment has turned my severe arthritis problems into manageable issues for me, without him I'd be in a wheelchair. Highly recommended. He has a great staff and facilities too.

Dr Jason came In the room after I had waited patiently for 40 min. He said why can't you understand I was taking a dance class and he was trying to get tickets to JLo in Vegas. I am a sick patient who is PAYING to hear this? After that he told me I should stop complaining about my pain & watch him do the moon walk! I almost burst into tears. He has no regard for sick patients and I think he should be checked in the head.

Wow switched doctors and the better RA doctor couldn't believe the mg of predazon which may cause severe long term effects. This guy only plays piano and doesn't even talk to patients. I tell you he overmedicated my husband for three years and wow really the better RA doctor couldn't believe the amount of mg of predazone and said in his 30 years he's NEVER prescribed that much dosage. Stay away.

I was delivered the horrible news that I had HLA-B27 and was sitting in a gown with my butt hanging out, pondering if I should have children. I was left there by myself, when he came in the room and started laughing and taking calls for tickets for the Phantom of the Opera. He explained to me it was for charity. Nice, but not professional or considerate. I never went back.
