Excellent physician
I had a visit with Dr. Chewning where he sent a sample to UVA and they were very concerned about pathology. He sent snail mail and made calls to get back to me. I started going to my PCP for exams because I’m middle aged now. I wanted a second opinion about an outpatient surgery. I’m so glad I visited Dr. Chewning again. He was informative and took time with me. He also spent time educating the resident and medical student. At the hospital he allows time for natural birth and works with the mother. He does not like to schedule C-sections like some physicians do (for their personal schedule.)This means he’s at the hospital more and cares about the mothers and their babies. I will always use him as a specialist now.

I have been seeing dr chewing for several years. He’s always informative and listens to my concerns. I wouldn’t see anyone else.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Chewning. He is arrogant and condescending. He treated me like I was an uneducated woman that couldn't think for herself. I will never go back to this practice.

I was a patient of Dr Chewning's in Lexington, VA. He was, without a doubt, one of the best OBGYN's I've ever had. He clearly explained procedures, listened to my concerns, and took the time to include my husband. I would definitely recommend Dr Chewning.
