Dr. Mark Bessette, MD

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Bessette, and I couldn't be happier. He is incredibly understanding and attentive, taking the time to listen to my concerns with genuine care. His respectful demeanor made me feel comfortable and valued as a patient. I'm truly grateful to have him as my new primary doctor!

His clerk interferes with his patients via phone and patient portal and she blocks any attempt to let him know she is the one deciding what medications are prescribed to patients and what medical procedures he has ordered. He doesn't know his patients are unable to correspond with him because she blocks all communications between the doctor and the patient. There is something wrong when a member of his office staff decides what patient he will see. Recommend another primary care doctor not in Abrazo.

I was a patient of Dr Bessette in Tucson,Az for over 25 years. Best Dr I’ve ever had. Caring, knowledgeable, and great interaction. He has since left the area and I’m very very upset with that. Haven’t found a Dr to replace him yet.

Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Bessette because his staff canceled my appointment without even informing me. After waiting 3 weeks for my scheduled appointment with Dr. Bessette I show up 30 minutes before my appointment. The receptionist informs me Dr. Bessette isn't in today. "That's odd" I reply, "because I have an appointment with him today." She looks up my information and confirms that I did indeed have an appointment. "Well we called all his appointments and canceled them" she says without any hint of an apology. I checked my voicemail and missed calls just to be sure and there was absolutely no notice from them. In an era of email, text and patient portals there is absolutely no reason they cant communicate in a more professional manner. They also informed me the next appointment they could offer me with any dr was another 3 weeks out. To leave a patient suffering with extreme pain for 6 weeks is under no circumstances acceptable.

Dr. Basette was very professional and listened to me without rushing me out. He made sure that all of my questions were answered. I would definitely recommend him of you are looking for a PCP.

IT WAS GREAT. I FINALLY GOT A DR. IN MR BESSETTE THAT LISTENS TO WHAT IS AILING ME AND NOT JUST FOCUS ON ONE PROBLEM. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ADDRESSING MY HEALTH ISSUES. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AGAIN.

Mark Bessette has been my Dr for over 20 yrs and has always been honest, patient, kind and even warm and friendly! His relationship with his healing work is ethical, knowledge based and encompasses standard MD as well as alternative and more natural pathways. I have only high praise for him and will miss him as he moves away from Tucson.

Dr. Bessette has been my (and our) family doctor for 25 years. He always takes time to listen, is flexible in diagnostic approaches, and always explains thoroughly.

Staff greeted me pleasantly and efficiently. Clinic was Covid aware with safety measures. Dr Bessette thorough and helpful. Pleased to be able to have labs right on site.
