Dr. M. Sutton is the best!

Dr. Marilyn and her husband have been beyond disrespectful in my experience with them. Their staff hardly ever answers the phone and they do not return calls. They do not care if a prescription needs to be refilled and will have patients waiting for weeks regardless of how urgent the medication is. They clearly only care about income and making money and should be ashamed of how they treat their patients. Stay away at all costs!

My spouse and I have been patients of Dr. Marilyn Sutton for years. She has always been supportive and caring. We have a few issues between us and neither small or big have even been discounted. We moved further away over a year ago and still prefer to travel to our chosen and trusted physician.

Bedside manner is severely lacking. I didn’t feel I was listened to when discussing a problem or concern. Often her tone was condescending. Always billed for an office visit when Dr. Sutton returned a phone message, usually about a medication question or requested refills. Also charged me $10 to call in a refill which is ridiculous ! Would not help with other requests unless an office visit was made. Unfortunately, it seems receiving co-pays are more important than patient concerns or assistance.

Dr. Marilyn Sutton is very thorough and listens attentively; my visits have never felt rushed. The downside is that the office is often running behind schedule — of my 3-4 visits, my wait time was no less than 50-60min each time (once was due to a logistical misunderstanding with a new staff member who Dr. Sutton said was still training and whom she apologized for, but it also spoke to the hiccups in how the office is run). It’s also taken multiple follow-up calls to hear back about results, and the front desk seems to defer to Dr. Sutton to handle matters of an administrative nature that they could be helping with to make the practice run more effectively (Eg instead of taking down the nature of my message, the front desk had me contact Dr. Sutton directly even though it was a simple question of “why should I expect to hear back about my lab results?”). I’d like to stay with Dr. Sutton but hope these administrative issues don’t continue, as they do take a toll on patient experience.

A thorough and very knowledgeable physician, best experience I ever had with a doctor.

I have moved a lot in the last couple years, within NY and out of state. It has also taken me a long time before finding a doctor that I felt really wanted to hear me out and seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying. Dr. Sutton has made the thought of going to a primary doctor less daunting again. She was patient, asked questions, and demonstrated interest in my interests. As I think of my future, I know I will have move again, hopefully inside NY, and I plan to continue to visit her.

Very disappointed. Dr Sutton told me my blood test results would be in soon after my appointment because I have another visit with a dr who could benefit from having those results. I've called her office every day for the past 3 business days and no one has ever gotten back to me. The office claims on their answering service they are there @ 9:00 am but it isn;t until 11:00 that I am able to reach the front desk. This is extremely unprofessional. I would never go back, and advise against it.
