Dr. Maria Barnett, DO

I have been seeing Dr. Barnett since 2018 and followed her from OSU to COPC. She is so professional, kind, and ACTUALLY LISTENS. I have never met a better doctor in my 10 years of working in healthcare.

Dr Barnett and UA primary care is outstanding I call her my doctor and that she is she has come through many times for me after seeing other specialist and grab many issues and nipped them in the butt words can not explain how passionate she is at her job actually it is not a job but a mission need a pcp right here

Dr Barnett is patient, attentive and caring.

Dr. Barnett is everything you want in a Primary Care physician. She is knowledgeable, intelligent, skilled, and caring. She takes quality time listening to her patients and guides them to make the necessary decisions for their health.

Dr. Maria Barnett is both brilliant, and compassionate. I trust her with my life, and both of my teen boys lives. Her recommendations have always led our needs to a realistic, successful plan. Lucky us.

Dr. Barnett is the best. She listens and takes her patients' information into account. For the patient with the one-star review, you have the wrong Dr. Barnett. Look for one closer to CA. This Dr. Barnett is way too thorough to have made that kind of a misdiagnosis. She is one of the most thorough doctors I've been to. I'm glad that I found her as I was looking for a new family doctor.

Dr. Barnett makes me feel super comfortable talking through my health concerns and I trust her decisions about my health.

After having several bad experiences with different doctors, Dr Barnett was a pleasant surprise. She listens and genuinely cares about my physical and mental health. I had many, varied concerns when I started seeing her, and she prioritized and addressed each one over multiple visits so that any issues were easier to source and adjust. Finding a medication balance for my depression was not easy, but I was able to use the portal and call the office to communicate progress, and she made adjustments until we got it right. I also had a couple of vitamin deficiencies, and she made sure I got to the right levels. I am in such a better place because she took the time to make me feel comfortable and address my medical needs. *****

I'm a physician myself, and am thus both more critical and more forgiving than most patients. I also had the opportunity to choose between a large number of my colleagues with whom I had worked or knew by collegial reputation. One would be hard-pressed to find a more thoughtful, considerate, intelligent or caring individual. I've sent her dozens of referrals, always with some trepidation because I don't want her TOO busy. If you're wondering who should take care of you and your family, wonder no more.

Dr. Barnett is the most caring, thoughtful, and thorough doctor I've ever had. She creates a welcoming environment where I feel heard and involved in my health care. My wife is also a patient and we always recommend this practice to others, especially those in the LGTBQ community who may have had a poor experience elsewhere. Two other people I know are happy with the gender-affirming care they receive here.

Dr. Barnett sees all three of my kids. She is wonderful! So attentive, caring and she asks my children questions! I love that she does this as she includes them in the discussion of their health. She is exactly the kind of pediatrician one would hope for. Never rushes us and my kids love her.
