Dr. Siegel is what doctors used to be caring, concerned, helpful, available and understanding. After your visit or call HE personally calls to make sure all is well.My husband and I truly appreciate his caring.

The Rating of 1.9 Says it All
Very poor patient skills and in my opinion, questionable medical skills..Talks about his success on TV and brags constantly..Has very little interest in what the patient has to say. My own physician at Langhorne thought Siegel was a very poor doctor, and much more an opportunist seeking the spotlight..Avoid at all cost..Having an MD degree does not make a quality doctor..

I was appalled by the recent appointment I had here. I’m familiar with NYU Langone and how wonderful the care typically is, but this was a completely disrespectful experience. The office called me 2 hours before my appt to ask if I could come 15 min early because he had an “important meeting.” I agreed and arrived at that time but he wasn’t even at the office until my initially scheduled time. I was then seen by him for approximately 30 seconds, he came into the room and said that my labs were good and I was fine to leave. The appointment was to review multiple other tests including an ECHO and chest X-ray. I asked about these and he said “oh right, hang on”, and then left to go see the results. He then came in and said I was fine except for one minor issue without explaining anything about what was going on or what that meant. I was probably seen by him for 2 minutes in total before he rushed out of the office. Absolutely terrible and probably the worst doctors appt I’ve been to.

Avoid at all costs
My first appt with MD Siegel was cancelled the same day due to "an emergency". No problem, we rescheduled for later in the month. I arrived to my new appt on time and was not seen by the doctor until over an hour after my appt was scheduled; again, I get it. MD offices are busy. When MD Siegel finally came in to see me, he spoke extremely fast and did not ask any questions about me. He ordered blood work to be done down the street, even after I asked if it could be done in office, to which he said no. When I arrived to the lab down the street, they had not received the orders. (Note: the lab tech helping me said this is typical for this doctor). In subsequent interactions with MD Siegel and his office, there were countless scheduling issues, lateness on MD Siegel's part and an overall lack of respect and absence of bedside manner. The doctor went as far as to raise his voice on the phone to my wife when she voiced her concerns over his repeated tardiness to appts. Avoid at all costs.

I came from the deep south and live in NY for several years. He is the worst doctor I've ever seen. Feel no respect at all, not to mention care about my health. He ordered tests, but when went back for follow-up, he never checked my results. Yelled to people, and very impatient to me. For the two times I went to my appointment, I waited about 1 hour, yes, 1 hour waiting with appointment.

very bad experience
I had the most frustrating doctor's office visit in my entire life: the doctor never returned your messages, the receptionist never called you back. Luckily, I don't have life threatening illness. The doctor and his service are not the NYU Longan standards. Please stay away if you can.

My visit to Dr Siegel for a physical was the absolute worst experience. He was 1.5 hours late, spent 3 minutes with me and cut me off many times, and then billed me for a complex visit (not a physical) that caused me to need to pay $400 out of pocket (as opposed to my physical which would have been fully covered). Whatever you do, do not go to Dr Siegel.

terrible experience. I waited an hour and a half and he rushed through an appointment that was about a minute in length. It was my first visit and he didn't go over any medical history.

Dr. Siegel was over 1 hour late and rushed through my physical. I don't think he was thorough at all. I would not recommend this internist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Siegel’s for over 20 years. He has always taken excellent care of me throughout this time and I have recommended him to friends and colleagues. He is easy to talk to and always listens and responds with compassion and concern.

My father almost died while under Dr. Siegel's care. My father was unable to swallow and had dangerously low oxygen rates. Dr. Siegel never had my father tested for these issues, was unavailable to take calls or to examine my father, and was dismissive of our fears. Fortunately 2 other doctors took over the case. We never heard a word from Siegel.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Siegel. He takes his time to ensure my well-being on top of his busy schedule. Every time I see him we have a talk about my health and he makes sure that I understand any issues and what needs to be done about it. My only issue is that he can take about 15 minutes longer to show up for an appointment sometimes. The rest of his staff is great too!

I was thrilled to book an appointment with well known doctor and expected the same. Well...My appointment was at 12:30 and I came 15 min earlier, as requested for a new patient. Staff was very accommodative and kept me informed that doctor arrived late and there is an important life-threatening situation that he has to take part of the phonecall; and on top of it, he has a patient ahead of m. I waited for almost two hours before I asked if I am going to be seen by the ddoctor. He ran into the room angry withno apologies. With the an open door he started to examine me without any explanation why he's late or just say hello and looking into my face as to the new patient. With no questions asked on his behalf, he didn't care to listen either, spent 7 min, prescribed antibiotics. No blood work or any analysis were done but the throat culture because I complained. Very dissatisfied left the office.

Excellent doctor. He genuinely shows concern for my health and overall well being. He always asks me of my health concerns and addresses them promptly with testing (if needed) or referral to a specialist that can further diagnosis my concerns. He continues to provided me advise of what I can do that is not just prescription based to help improve my overall health.

Got in 30 minutes early and did the e-check-in prior to appointment, didn't see Dr. Siegel until 1 hour and 45 minutes later only to hear him minimize a medical issue I'm having. He spent 10 minutes with me total, speaking as fast as humanly possible and no bedside manner. He was not thorough by any means. I was going to have him be my PCP but forget it, not a chance in hell. They also don't do blood work in the office you have to go somewhere else for that.

I have had multiple problems with Dr. Seigel. 1. I went to his office and only met with him for 5 minutes after waiting for almost over an hour to actually see him. 2. He prescribed me the wrong medication about 4 times. First I had asked him for Xanax and he sent Klonopin to the pharmacy instead, after 4 weeks of calling him back in forth her finally sent in the prescription for Xanax, but it was the wrong dose. 3. After mentioning needing brand name, still prescribed me generic.
