Caring, nonjudgmental, practical
So glad I found Dr. Hayes! She’s a truly caring and compassionate doctor who takes probably more time than she has to explain things from the basics of how my body works to why she’s making a recommendation, and is also very practical and realistic in her approach. I trust her recommendations and I’d trust her with my life. I never feel like she’s judging me, so I can ask her hard questions I’d be embarrassed to bring up with a different doctor.

Negligent dismissive advice
If you are an OB patient (especially high risk), PLEASE switch to a different doctor. I am a first time twin mom and a few days ago at 25 weeks, went into pre-term labor around 4am. I had no idea what contractions felt like but I knew I was in pain and called the emergency OB number after hours. I was told by Dr. Hayes to take a pain pill and a hot shower. When I asked “could this be pre-term labor”, Dr. Hayes sounded annoyed and cut me off. She said “let’s not go there”. I asked again and she said “there’s not a whole lot they could do but if you want to go in for your piece of mind, I’ll notify them” Well I went in feeling like a piece of over-reactive garbage. Immediately after arriving I was told I had contractions 1-3 minutes apart and was dilated 1 cm. I thankfully got there in time for the team of doctors and nurses to stop my labor. At 25 weeks my babies are barely viable and would have been fighting for their lives in the NICU or worse if I had listened to Dr. Hayes.
