She does good work.
I had a rather complex surgical situation, and am grateful to have had such a skilled surgeon. I believe this was the main reason I had no complications.

Re: Find another option
Following up on this as the husband. While waiting for the Dr. and her office to get it together, we called another hospital and were seen next day. Treatment started the day after the new consultation appointment, as same day imaging revealed that the cancer that was described as 'slow growing' by Dr. Willmott had advanced to 3C2. We discussed the events leading up to the visit at the new hospital with the new Dr.'s. The oncologist passed me a message indicating instructions on how to report issues like this to the state. I didn't, as I wanted to take the high road. Wish I had, as I have found some relevant information that indicates there may be been personal events in the Dr.'s life that led to the lapse in communication and care. Here we are today, my wife is metastatic and in VERY bad shape, despite care from what is likely the best hospital in the world. I firmly believe that if Dr. Willmott and her office had been more proactive and timely, my wife wouldn't be in this mess.

DR. Wilmott is excellent.
Dr. Wilmott listens, asks pertinent questions, reesponsds fully to questions, offers in-depth information, explainations and options. She is excellent. She sits at your level and hears what you say. She follows up and all potential issues and explores them fully.

Mother's visit
I arrived to the office with my mother for her health matter. While going to a doctor office is never the easiest thing to experience Dr. Willmott tried her best to show how much she cared. She tried to explain everything and all the circumstances of the issue not just to my mom but with me as well. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Worst experience ever. Would give zero stars. Huge lack of communication. No one answers the phone or returns calls. My husband spend 2+ hours on hold and drove to the office still on hold when leaving. When tried to call office, phone is busy, immediately goes to hold, or simply hangs up. Took 6 weeks to get an mri because they had my name wrong. Cancelled my surgery over a month ago and still nothing. Went to another doctor. In the waiting time since Jan. My cancer has grown another 2cm and has spread. Feel ignored and unimportant. Wold not recommends this doctor or office to anyone.

I had a hysterectomy done with this woman, and my pain was never controlled, was told she didn't think I needed to go back to the ER after calling the on call service at 1am for extreme pain, was told to take more of the pain med she prescribed yet refuses to write for more because I will run out, refused to give me stronger pain medication after being up all night the first night of surgery, her opinion of your pain is what goes, not what you tell her, she shirked her responsibility an took an oath to do no harm, well that's exactly what she did, performed a surgery then treats her patients like drug seekers if their pain doesn't fall in line with what she thinks it should be, sitting here in pain as I write this, upset and crying, wondering how in the world a surgeon of all things could be so heartless, judgmental and wrong to her own patient, I trusted you to take care of me, not abuse your power! You should be ashamed of yourself!!!

My mother deceased. I'm not sure how she would rate the level of care she received but I have some constructive critism that would like to offer. I had quite a bit of concerns that there was no communication between the her oncologist and her primary care physician. Relying on a non medical professional like myself to relay the information doesn't seem to be the best practice to follow. I don't think I should serve a courier of medical information. I understand that you have more than one patient to deal with however I know this practice can be fixed. The staff did a great job explaining how the process would go what she could have expected and prescribed medicine that relieved some of her pain issues. Sadly the treatment did not work out for the best results. I'm sure your staff and tried their best.

Within the three months I was under her care, Dr. Willmott was not available twice for a scheduled appointment (one with and one without cancellation). Wait times for scheduled visits were twice 2 - 2.5 hours. Extremely elevated TSH values were not discovered because no test was run for this common side effect of my treatment. A diagnostic scan to observe the efficacy of the treatment was also not ordered.

Dr. Wilmott was pleasant to work with. She explained everything thoroughly and was patient with questions. I experienced long wait times for my 2 visits, the second one was nearly 2 hours later than my appointment time so that was frustrating. My only other complaint was that my follow up appointment could have easily just been a phone call to give me the results instead of waiting those 2 hours for less than 5 minutes of results.

I would not recommend this doctor. She does not listen to the patient. She performed surgery on me which ended in numerous complications and after 3 years I continue to deal with. She appeared to not be concerned about any of them. Her staff is not responsive.

Dr. Willmott is an excellent surgeon and Oncologist whom I see frequently as I go through my treatment. I am in my eighties and had a complete hysterectomy for my uterine cancer tumor which thankfully had not spread. I was walking the next day and felt no pain at all post procedure. She is also a very compassionate doctor who answers all questions in detail and explained very thoroughly why she thought I should go through my current proactive preventative treatment to allay the cancer from returning. I receive treatment on a weekly basis from very caring and responsible nurses at Arizona Oncology where Dr. Willmott has her office.

I saw Dr Willmott as my second opinion for a post-menopausal complex ovarian cyst and thickened uterine lining. She spent a lot of time with me during our first meeting and I came away with great confidence in her. Now, I am 4 days post-surgery (da vinci method), and I have zero pain and I can do pretty much whatever I want except for no lifting over 10 lbs. I have 5 pretty incisions around my waist like a dotted line which should heal without much scarring. I am very happy I went with her.

Had a great meeting with Dr. Willmott. I thought she was very thorough and explained that based on my history and it was best for a quick surgery to make sure I was ok. Did the surgery the next week, followed up 10 days later with an all clear result and I was on my way. Dr Willmott spent all the time I needed answering all of my questions and I thought she was absolutely wonderful. She will be my go to if I ever need anything again.
