Dr. Lyle Calcamuggio, MD

I have only seen him once BUT he was great. Listened to my concerns. Was on time to appointment. His staff is also friendly and are more than willing to fill out my PFML/FMLA paperwork.

Dr. Calcamuggio is an excellent doctor. I appreciate that he discussed with me what he thought was the best plan which I agreed with. He is a good listener.

This self proclaimed “endometriosis specialist” failed to keep his word about sending tissue to pathology, told me that “if” I have endometriosis, “it’s dead endometriosis because it is white” when that is not at ALL how endometriosis works and white is a very common manifestation. He removed cysts and adhesions, found clear evidence of white endometriosis that he refused to biopsy, the whole point of the surgery, spread endometriosis cells to VERY unpleasant places, and then made a weirdly long show of praising my lack of body fat saying “I have never been able to see the ureters so clearly, I mean, wow, there was just no body fat there. I could see clear as day.” Despite the TOP DIAGNOSIS in my chart being an eating disorder. I am not the only person I know left unsatisfied and uncomfortable with the “care” this provider is giving. Having him do my surgery was the worst choice of my life. Couldn’t even be bothered to take two seconds to line the wound up properly before gluing it.

I love how he was attentive and listened and explained things that needed to be explained and helped me understand the care and treatment plan!

I found Dr. Calcamuggio to be candid, knowledgeable and thorough. I got a personal call from him after my visit today with another health option we didn’t discuss at the visit. I really appreciated him reaching out. I also liked how he explained procedures in clear and understandable terms.

I would not recommend Dr. Cal to any of my friends or family because he showed no compassion towards me as his patient. He recently performed my hysterectomy which was an outpatient procedure on Dec 7, I was very ill afterwards and stayed for 12 hours instead of the 5. He never once checked on me or called after the procedure. I am on day 6 of my post op and still no call from him or the surgery center. Thank you for leaving me feel abandon.

Dr, Cal and his staff did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and secure in knowing that the decisions regarding my health were the right ones for me. I feel that I can trust him in having the knowledge to perform the procedures needed for me. I would totally recommend Dr. Calcamuggio for your OB/GYN needs.
