Dr. Luke Freml, DDS

We spent a month waiting for a consultation with Dr. Freml and then 40-minutes waiting for a two minute consultation where he decided not to offer in-office IV sedation. Instead, he suggested nitrous oxide or the operating room. The scheduler said he chose this because he wouldn’t be able to “restrain” my child during an in-office sedation. When asked about office policies regarding who qualifies for in-office IV sedation, the office manager said there is no clear-cut policy and that it is up to the doctor’s discretion. No members of our family will be going back to this office.

Horrible bedside manner

After completing any surgical procedure, patients expect and deserve surgeons best efforts to manage any pain experienced during their recovery at home. Dr. Freml could care less about the amount of pain a patient is in after surgery and is only willing to tells patients to use Advil and tylenol post surgery. Very dissatisfied with this Doctor as he is very unsympathetic regarding post surgery pain. Effective pain management should be one of the key components of achieving patient satisfaction.

Dr. Freml told me I had an extreme condition requiring serious reconstructive surgery and a bone graft out of town - within 30 seconds he had left the room. I got second and third opinions with surgeons that both surmised Dr. Freml's assessment was incorrect and grossly overstated for the information at hand. Biopsy confirmed the situation did not require surgery of any kind. I was beside myself worrying for a month because of one ill informed doctor.
