Wonderful doctor
Dr Louis performed open-heart surgery on my husband earlier this year. Dr. Louis replaced the aortic valve, repaired an aortic aneurysm, and got him out of Afib. It was a complex surgery, taking over seven hours. My husband had months of tests beforehand, and it was difficult to tell if he really needed the surgery or not from the tests because they couldn’t get a good look at the valve in the images. But Dr Louis felt that the surgery was needed, and we trusted him. It’s good we did, because once they opened him up, they realized my husband’s valve was in much worse shape than the images showed. I firmly believe Dr. Louis saved my husband’s life, and I will always be grateful to him. My husband healed well and is living a normal, active life thanks to Dr. Louis.

A Hero
He and his staff took very good care of me in the summer of 2022 during my 3-week stay through surgery. It was a massive surgery with an aortic replacement and a mitral valve repair - 7+ hrs. He is a great and caring surgeon for which I am so grateful.

Brilliant & Caring Surgeon
Dr. Louis is a serious yet caring surgeon. God used him to save our daughter's life after a massive pulmonary embolism. He was straightforward when it became known than emergency surgery was necessary. He shared the reasons and understood how traumatized we were. He showed great respect to us, and great care towards her. It is our firm belief that God put him in the right place at the right time. We can never thank Dr. Louis and his staff enough. They were all amazing!

Dr. Louis treated my father when my father was in the VA hospital in Miami, Fla. I will always be grateful for the personal touch with which he treated my dad--in a VA hospital, in which "impersonal and detached" are the norm. God bless him. My father was Hipolito Rivera; mine is Norma. Thank him for me, please!

Outstanding team leader, cares deeply for his patients and all the patients under the care of the Cardiac Surgery division. I was operated on by Dr. Bittner, but Dr. Louis consulted on my case (I am complex) and spent a good deal of time with me in preparation and following surgery. He runs a tight ship, has a wonderful bedside manner that inspires confidence. More often than not I was laughing by the time he left the room. Unreservedly recommend him and his team.

He wants to play God he has to be in control hope everything. He has no bedside manners for patients. He does not take anything into consideration about a patient's life. Or what's going on I'll fix that person's life. Even some of his colleagues thinks he's abrasive. Would not recommend him for my dog.would not even take the time out of your schedule to call and clear up a misunderstanding between the doctor and my family.
