The worst doctor in the world
She is the absolute worst doctor I have ever gone to and I only went to her because the doctor I wanted to see was unavailable. I had booked a flight and waited 8 months for this colonoscopy and she was rushed, complained the entire time about my colon not being as 'clean' as she wanted it to be. Sorry, but I did the prep and didn't eat for two days and unfortunately there is nothing I could have done except gotten a better prep which was not prescribed. She was arrogant and thoughtless and all of these positive reviews must be from paid shills. She could not possibly have any friends because she is cruel and nasty. Horrible doctor!

Bad doctor
I have a terrible family history of colon cancer. I’d already had a colon resection, and she angrily insisted that I only need a colonoscopy every five years. Every other doctor I’ve seen said that I should have one every year. People in my family who wait five years for a screening end up dead. She’s angry, nasty, undereducated and just plain dangerous. Stay well away. This whole department at NYU is pretty bad. Head uptown to a better medical system.

Dr. Ganjhu was quite through in reviewing three different sets of blood work I submitted to her. She asked many questions and described what each test revealed in layman’s terms that were easy to understand. I appreciated her expertise and patience, and look forward to working with her going forward. Hematology is so specialized that I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Dr. Ganjhu!

I wish I had read these reviews before - but I booked because I wanted to go with an NYU Langone doctor and she was the only one who had availability - by a long shot. Now I can see why 1. Very transactional, it was like all she wanted to get to was to book the procedure 2. Didn't offer information or explanations. Even when I asked questions, the answers were like she was reading off a script the minimum information that she needed to give me - and then came back to the 'if you agree I'll tell my office to book' 3. Some answers were just pure surprising - I wonder if she's in this to care for patients e.g., if I asked about a risk that she rattled off, instead of explaining it, she said something along the lines of "any doctor will tell you the same thing, we're supposed to" 4. Very rushed Definitely not entrusting my sedated body in such an uncaring, transaction human

I met with her for a colonoscopy consultation. She was dismissive, sarcastic, inattentive and arrogant. I will be going elsewhere for my colonoscopy.

A typical doctor. Came in for gut discomfort/constipation. She prescribed a generic probiotic - did nothing. She prescribed Miralax - basically did nothing. Then she performed a colonoscopy, which revealed nothing abnormal. She basically told me to go on my way, that there was nothing wrong with me and that I had IBS. Didn't suggest testing for SIBO, testing for parasites, or testing the gut lining. If you have terrible discomfort but there's nothing acutely wrong with you, a gastro won't care.

Cancelled my appointment for colonoscopy many times and was not accommodating/flexible in rescheduling (also not apologetic). I am unsatisfied and feel that I am not an important patient to this doctor. When I complained and asked for a new doctor, the office said they would call me back and I did not get a response.

I showed up on time for an appointment with Dr. Ganjhu, with the proper insurance and ID but because my ID didn't have a photograph I was turned away. I was in pain and had waited several days to get the appointment, so I offered to have my passport faxed to her office but she refused. She was oddly unyielding. I actually cried because I was so disappointed that my pain wouldn't be addressed and her staff giggled. Avoid this office at all costs.
