Even though he must have done hundreds of these procedures, he took those extra few seconds to see and acknowledge me as a fellow human, not just another “bum.” It was him who made the phone call to give me the results. Dr Sherman and his team are great. The entire team at Kips Bay is professional and very competent. It is more important to have great doctors as we retire and can focus on our health and wellbeing. Dr Sherman and his team make it easy.

The visit was as wonderful as getting an endoscopy could be! The entire staff, from the front desk to the medical staff, the anesthesiologist, who was excellent, and the staff in the endoscopy room were courteous, knowledgeable and responsive to my every need. I particularly liked that each person introduced him or herself to me and explained what they did. Dr. Sherman embodied all of what I wrote about everyone else.

I’ve seen many, many doctors for different reasons in my life of 61 years, but he’s one of a few doctors I felt comfortable with.

Trustworthiness is crucial to maintain one's medical records and health. I spoke with someone at Dr. Sherman's office who called me to confirm an appointment. I previously sent 3 messages through their portal which no one responded to. The next morning was my appointment and I was told an answer to my query would be later that day in the afternoon. No one called me. They didn't confirm the appointment with me as that was left to the upcoming call which was never made to me. A day after my appointment, Dr. Sherman wrote to me via the portal lecturing me on missed appointments disrupting his practice. I wrote back and again, no response. If patient concerns are neglected, I dread to think what happens when during a colonoscopy a mistake is made.

My favorite doctor.

Dr Sherman is an incredibly down-to-earth doctor, and he truly cares about his patients. His expertise and charisma really shine, and he made me very comfortable before and after my procedure. I have never felt in as good of hands.

I’ve been see seeing Dr. Sherman for IBD for 20 years. Chronic disease requires a long-term partnership between doctor and patient, and you have to trust and like your doctor. Dr. Sherman is both a great practitioner—informed, compassionate, decisive, and clear—as well as a charming, warm and worldly fellow, whom I’m happy to see even when I’m feeling terrible. He takes incredibly good care of his patients, and is responsive and highly effective in critical situations. I recommend him whole-heartedly.

Dr Sherman is the best. He's just the best. He's knowledgable, but listens. He's sensitive and caring and very funny. He get the tone just right. I would trust him absolutely, which is weird, as I never feel this way about a doctor. He's great. Did I mention he's great?
