Wonderful doctor and surgeon
Dr. Charo did my surgery at Kaiser. She supervises residents and fellows from UCSD, so I worked with her whole team. I did not have as much direct contact with her but could reach out to her anytime. Her team was excellent and very caring. My surgery went very well and the recovery was seamless. The team called to check on me after surgery and answered all my questions through kp.org

Uncaring and horrible post surgery care
Only wanted to do surgery after care was terrible. Pain meds were messed up did not listen nor respond to issues. Only saw PA afterwards and she was rude. I would never recommend her.

Dr Charo is an excellent doctor
She is a very good doctor. She took care of me when I had cancer. She was make sure my well being is not compromised. She has manners and respect with her patients. My experienced with her are beyond of goodness.

Did not like her bedside manner. Gave conflicting information. It seems as if she never reviewed my chart.

A Very Ethical, Skilled, Extraordinary Doctor!!
I am greatly troubled by a recent review that described Dr. Charo as 'unethical'! We must put this in perspective! As all of us, Doctors have lives and careers that are always evolving and changing and life altering changes, come and go! I too, was disappointed to lose Dr. Charo as my Doctor but never considered it to be an arbitrary and capricious decision that she made without considering that I would have excellent, follow-on care! I have trusted Dr. Charo with my life and would not hesitate to do it again! I envy her future patients and only wish her the best for her future!

No Ethics!
Dr Charo doesn't seem to understand ethical behavior. I was referred to Dr Charo, OR, Dr Bahadar, being told I needed to quickly move forward with a hysterectomy due to cancer.I asked for the first available appointment for either Dr.I was given an appointment with Charo, who said she would be my surgeon, wanted to schedule my surgery immediately, everything was 'green light go' after a 1 hour consult. As I was getting ready to see her scheduling nurse, Dr Charo then said she was leaving the practice at the end of the month and 'one of the other Physicians' will take care of my follow up.I was completely shocked, didn't know how to feel about that info, what a head trip! I couldn't believe her ethics, I asked why she was even taking patients at this point? Dr Charo, spend an hour getting me to trust her with my body then pulled the rug out. Given her behavior she SHOULD be reprimanded by the Medical Board and should not deal with vulnerable Cancer patients.
