I went to St Clair Hopital three weeks ago having a heart attack and Dr. Gehl was the cardiologist on call. I received varying information while in the hospital from him and the other doctors. At my follow up appointment with him, I had to remind him what he had told me and what he had done! Then, after a stress test, he sent me back for another stent. He said it required an overnight stay, yet places like Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic let patients go home the same evening. So I stayed overnight. This morning, I waited all morning for him to arrive to discharge me. Finally fed up with waiting, I demanded to discharge myself. Guess who showed up? Dr. Gehl. He yanked the bandage off my thigh and didn't even say sorry. He was pissed and so was I. I will be changing cardiologists.

Dr Gehl was the most two-faced, spineless doctor I have ever encountered. He said one thing to my face but delivered the exact opposite message to relay through a nurse, keeping me in the dark. When scheduling my procedures, he was in no hurry and caused me to waste an entire day. When I did finally get to talk to him, he made snide remark and walked away. Terrible experience.
