Dr. Laurie Garabedian, DO

Dr. Garabedian has been our primary doctor for years and now has her own practice in Plainville, Mass. She is a listening, warm, caring, very intelligent doctor. We highly recommend her talents to all, scheduling is not a problem under her new system. She personally returns calls to us with answers, and follow through rates a ten. She is a new bred of medical personnel. We have been waiting for this in medicine for a long time.

After years of care at the VA my wife made me an appointment with Dr. Garabedian for chronic medical problems that other doctors couldn’t figure out, after one visit and pointing me in the right direction of what specialists to see I finally had answers!! Without Dr. Garabedian taking the time to put the pieces together I’d still be suffering!! She is the best

Dr. Garabedian has been my PCP for the last 5 years and I couldn’t ask for a better doctor. She is always thorough in her exams and will take the time to reassure me or answer any questions/concerns I have. She makes you feel comfortable and is easy to talk to. Dr. G is an excellent doctor who truly cares about her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. G's for years. She is wonderful. I was truly shocked to see some of the unkind reviews left here, you must have the wrong doctor (though 2 seem more so related to office staff, scheduling/returning calls). Dr. G is kind and caring.

Wow! What a kind and care doctor. She was right on time to start my appointment and spent 45 full minutes with me.

Dr. G is the best doctor I've ever had. I have always had a great experience with her and she sees my whole family.

There's not much to say. She's terrible. Rude, no bedside manner, no concern, talks down to you, not knowing I'm an RN in a trauma unit talked to me about my kids like I was braindead. She's just terrible. Go to anyone but her.

If only I could give a negative star!!! Contacted the day after Memorial Day requesting to speak with this doctor in regards of an accident I suffered and referrals, I was told I would receive a call within a couple hours, it’s been 6 days and no answer. Called several times on the mean time and kept getting the same answer. Worst choice you can make, by trusting your care with this doctor. You are nothing but a number. Will be filling a complaint with the board.

NOTE: I have not had the opportunity to meet Dr. Garabedian (see below for explanation). So, cannot review her professional skills. However... This past October, I scheduled a new patient appointment meeting with Dr.Garabedian, at SMG Chestnut Green Family Medicine. On Dec. 30, one day before that scheduled appointment, I received a voice mail that cancelled this appointment because the office would be closed on NY Eve Day (Dec. 31). I can understand why the office was closed, but not being given only a day’s notice. Very disappointed, on Dec. 30, I called their office (twice) and was kept on hold for much too long. When I attempted to leave a message, I was informed that the mailbox was full and was then disconnected. I can only conclude that the office was also closed on Dec. 30. I then thought that, if this is the customer care that I receive as a potential new patient, I need to reconsider my options.

I have seen Dr. Garabedian for several years. She is very knowledgable, professional, and caring. She also takes the time to really get to know her patients and has an excellent memory.
