Dr. Umphrey has been my pcp for over a year. We hit it off right away and I look forward to seeing him for my numerous assorted ailments. He treats me with dignity, respect and he considers my opinion when clinical issues come up. He always has my prescriptions filled in a timely manner and has never left me hanging on a weekend without meds. He is very thorough and has ordered numerous xrays, mris, bloodwork and other non intrusive tests. He makes referrals right away to other medical professionals and also helped me with physical therapy. Most importantly Dr. Umphrey has a strong skill set especially for a young doctor. He pays attention when I speak and gives me consideration when decisions need to be made. Overall he is an excellent physician and I highly recommend him.

I Have known Dr Umphrey for a number of years now, and find him pleasant, supportive, and informative. I know his focus is on preventative medicine, but overall he is non-judgmental. Easy to talk to, and has helped me currently, and in the past with my health concerns.

I see Dr. Umphrey for osteopathic manipulation as I have a lot of chronic head/neck/spine pain. I walked into his office using a cain, and now I don't need it anymore thanks to his treatments. He is a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor, very down to earth, and gives you the time you need to discuss your health concerns. I am very lucky to have his support as I have a chronic illness. His approach is a functional one and for long term wellness. His office staff are all very good too.

He only does care about one thing..... Is the time that he has to spend with you. How much? 15 minutes by clock. If you have concerns try to make it within. Good luck!

My first physical appointment with him after moving to the area. The forms to fill out were mostly standard except some key questions were missing, ex: “who was your previous doctor?” Dr. Umphrey did not seem interested in getting access to my previous medical records which holds multiple decades of important health information. My “physical” was very short. He ignored my questions & concerns & focused on something 20yrs old I’ve already had tested. I felt like he didn’t care about me at all.

Switched over to Dr Umphrey II back in the Oct/Nov 2016 timeframe. I needed a new primary care and he was recommended through our insurance provider, Tufts. I appreciate that he listened to me as I went through my medical history and set me up with specialists on the spot for the current concerns that i expressed to him. I recommend him highly and recently my wife has switched over to him as well.
