Great care
Dr Khanna is with NYU Langone, where the facilities and physicians are world-class. After a year of going to and from hospitals and doctors unable to treat me. Dr Khanna came highly recommended. Im sure I was a difficult case since I have many serious medical issues. Anyway She suggested that my gallbladder be removed. And if I were to have another episode that I go directly to the NYU Langone ER as opposed to the local queens hospital that was a nightmare. I did exactly that. The experience was night and day. I have now seen the best side of healthcare. She came to visit me in the hospital (NYU Kimmel Pavilion). Dr Khanna is caring. She listens. She is extremely thorough. She has a great bedside manner. And on top of it, her team including Liz Perrone is amazing.Superresponsive. I wish Dr Khanna were an Internal Medicine doc for she would be my primary care physician.

Horrendous communication, poor medical decisions
My first time ever reviewing a doc. On my first visit, waited almost 2 hours to be seen. Dr. Khanna seemed nice enough in the visit and took her time. Rec'd bad results after an MRI and no one calls me. I write in.. next day I call in, finally Dr. calls me on her way home from the car, doesn't have file in front of her so she wings it. Have a procedure following day. Pathology results are posted a week after but no call from doc. Write in and nothing. Call in and nothing. A few days later I call in and ask if a PA can call me back on the results. Nada. A week later Dr. calls me, again while driving home. Questionable advice, doesn't remember my case and no file in front of her to help. Said I will be notified by office to set up more tests and procedures. Never contacted and I have moved on. Lack of respect takes my breath away.

Surgery gone amiss
Dr. Khanna and Dr. Jonathan Cohen performed an ERCP on my during which a perforation occurred. Seems they did not notice that had happened and sent me home. The same day I had to return to ER and was in the hospital for a week while the perforation healed. I would say stay away from both of these doctors. Harvard degree doesn't mean they are careful in surgery.

Too busy for any patient’s good.
Difficult to schedule an appointment. She seems so busy as to not keep up and not take real care with her patients. She made a phone appointment in the afternoon with me, didn’t keep it and I believe she tried to call at 8:45 pm.

I personally wouldn’t recommend this facility to anyone. Traveled from NJ to NYC to get fooled around by the doctor but also the staff. Called 2-3x a day for 3 weeks straight to be placed on holds and lied to regarding paperwork. If you are in serious need of a gastroenterologist, I suggest look else where then this facility.

Dr Khanna and her staff were great for my consultation and surgery. Very thorough explained everything. A few months later I had an MRI for another issue and noticed cyst she was treating grew in size since I was concerned I emailed her and called her office with my concerns and never heard back from her or anyone in her office. Extremely disappointed to say the least. I would give her five stars for surgery and 1 star for follow up so met in the middle and gave her three stars. I had my surgery oct 2020 and still haven’t heard from her

Dr. Khanna and her office are completely appalling. Having told the intake nurse I was experiencing pain, they told me that the doctor was running an hour late and wouldn’t see me anyway. Even worse, they lost my medical records, I have no idea who saw/has them. The doctor did nothing to shorten my wait and the staff couldn’t care less that my right to privacy for my medical records was violated.
